I’d like to share the extraordinary experience I had during my recent visit to Vatican City. What began as a simple trip from Rimini to take a friend to Fiumicino Airport turned into an unforgettable adventure. I finally fulfilled my dream of visiting the Vatican Museums, the Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica. A special thank you goes to our guide, Alberto, who guided us with extraordinary passion for over four hours. His commentary was essential to fully appreciating the history and details of the masterpieces we admired, especially the frescoes in the Sistine Chapel. Entering the Chapel was a moment of pure emotion; the grandeur of the artwork is truly breathtaking. The Basilica was equally evocative; these are places where the majesty of human creation seems almost otherworldly. It was an experience I would repeat without hesitation, and one I highly recommend to anyone who has not yet visited these extraordinary places.

Firstly, the precision with which the pre-details of the tours were given, the organization of the office staff that received us, and how welcome we felt upon arrival were what stood out the most at the start of our tour. All agents were extremely friendly and could converse with us in multiple languages, making us feel very comfortable. Secondly, we had an incredible tour guide. Our guide, Claudia, was SO knowledgeable, extremely respectful, and very graceful/patient with all the group members, always taking into account their specific needs. She answered questions with expertise and was extremely kind.

We accidentally went to the wrong place and thank goodness because they were extremely rude (Touristation Vaticano). Once we got to our correct meeting place, we were greeted with great enthusiasm. In fact, they even called to check our ETA. Our tour guide, Alex, was fantastic and his English was very good. There is A LOT to see at these three places and he helped to navigate it with ease. We waited in line briefly but the crowds were not too bad. Alex was very knowledgeable and his jokes made the tour even more entertaining. For the money and the ease of mind, it was definitely worth it.

The guide was very knowledgeable and want to share that knowledge. Very nice and enjoyable to listen. I highly recommend recommend a tour guide instead of trying to see it on your own. The tour bypasses the long lines to get in. Our tour group was 20 people. I thought the price was well worth it if nothing else to not wait in long lines. Don't go on Wednesday's. Go there on Wednesday only if you want to go to mass and on Sunday for the blessing. Otherwise go on the other 5 days to really miss the lines.

Vatican City is truly an amazing experience, and our gudie did a great job of guiding us to points of interest (you'd need months or years to see everything). There is an incredible amount of artwork to be found, from sculptures and antiquities to frescos, tapestries, and paintings. Don't forget to look up... the artwork on the ceilings is stunning! The cistine chapel was the highlight (no photos allowed in there), and our guide pointed out some fascinating facts before we entered. Highly recommend.

We had a great experience visiting the Vatican. We were connected to our guide near the location, then escorted through the (multiple) entrance lines. We were there relatively early, so the crowds were big but not overwhelming. Our guide was knowledgeable and engaging, while the group was a good size (about 10-15). The Vatican is enormous so would take more than just a few hours to really experience in full, but we felt like we got a great sampling of the big spots.

I got much more out of visiting the other churches and Borghese gallery,. We were shuttled through the middle of the crowded venues, so I had to break off from the group to get closer to either side and then find them again. My headphone would not sit on my ear. We moved like on a conveyor belt through a crowded rooms. Since the Sistine chapel had no talking we had to remember what the guide had told us outside on the poster replication of the ceiling. A self guided audio tour with a nice headset would be much preferable but that would probably take longer than they want. We went mid June at 8:30am.

I have already completed 1 survey from the Vivico company. The best thing was the guided entry into the Vatican Museums. After completing the tour of the museum-we were left on our own to enter the Sistine Chapel. That was fairly easy. We never made it to the Basilica because no information or direction was provided. The tour guide seemed knowledgeable but very difficult to understand. I asked one question at the end, her answer was very curt and rude. Therefore, I don't feel the tour was as advertised.
