Aug 20255/5Went with my partner and two teens—honestly, this was the HIGHLIGHT of our Iceland trip. Our guide, Leif, just oozed knowledge and had us giggling on the drive. The waterfalls were STUNNING (yes, you’ll get wet, just lean into it), and the ice cave felt like being inside a sapphire. Pro tip: bring a dry pair of socks. My daughter slipped and her feet were soaked, but we still had a blast. The 4x4 looked like something outta Mad Max. Bit crowded at the cave entrance but cleared up quick. Would 100% do it again.Jul 20254/5Great experience overall! The ride out to the glacier was bumpy—hold on to ur hats lol. Our guide, Petra, was friendly and knew a ton about the volcanoes. The cave was smaller than I thought but the colors inside were surreal. Only downside: food stop was kinda late and I was starving by then. Bring snacks if you’re like me and get hangry. Weather changed like 3x an hour, so layers are ur friend.Jul 20255/5Honestly, can’t recommend this enough. Did the tour solo and got paired with a goofy group from Spain—laughed more than I expected. The drive through the black sand was like being on another planet. Our guide, Bjorn, told stories about trolls living in the rocks, which was coool and a little spooky. Ice cave was a bit crowded but worth the wait for pics. Don’t expect cell service out there!Jul 20253/5It was ok. The cave was tiny and we only had a few mins inside. Felt a bit rushed. The waterfalls before were pretty though, and our guide was nice. Weather super rainy, which made the hike up slippery. Wear good boots, trust me. Not my favorite tour but I think nature was just not on our side.Jul 20255/5This trip was EPIC! I went with my wife and 8yo daughter. The 4x4 was massive and the playlist was all Icelandic rock (not what I expected, but kinda loved it). The guide told us about the volcanoes and let the kids try on his helmet, which was cute. The ice cave looked like blue glass inside—never seen anything like it. Crowds at the waterfalls but not so bad at the glacier. Coldest I’ve ever been, but so worth it.
