Your experience
Your experience
Start your tropical island adventure with a journey down south Cairns, past ancient mountains and lush sugarcane fields.
Experience the Great Barrier Reef
A comfortable 30-minute cruise will give you a glimpse of the sandy beaches, mangroves, and dense rainforests that line the Mulgrave River. Aboard the lux Turtle Islander, you will be able to observe the diverse and abundant wildlife of the island seated in comfort. Get to know the behaviors of water birds as your knowledgeable guide helps you spot and name different species. Your guide will also tell you about the Mandingalby Yindinji and Gungandji Aboriginal people — from how they fished, hunted, and gathered food on these islands to their customs and myths. Finally, your cruise will take you to Normanby Island, a secluded hidden gem you can explore peacefully.
Become a snorkeling star
Once you reach the Frankland Islands, you can indulge in activities that suit your preferences. Go on guided snorkeling safaris, kayak, or paddleboard to marvel at the scenic island, or walk with marine biologists to understand the reef ecosystem better. The pristine coral reefs of the Frankland Islands are home to an abundance of marine life, so you may get to greet some endangered fishes on your dive.
If you have kids, this tour is a perfect opportunity for you to watch your little ones make core memories with sea turtles and befriend the ‘Nemo’ clownfish. Sign them up for kid-friendly snorkeling tutorials and see their faces light up when they get certificates.
