It was very useful but finding the Tourist Information Office to activate the card was difficult until I was advised to go to Pl.Catalunya. The lady at the Tourist desk was very helpful, activated the card from the letter of confirmation and the QR Code, and she gave me a Metro map and marked all the routes I needed to get to my Hotel and also the Airport. It would have been useful to have a numerical code so the card could be collected at any Metro Station. Once I got the card it very useful gettng around Barcelona and how to avoid using the bus as the roads were being churned up for improvements. Again using the Metroto get to the airport takes a long time so plan ahead . Again it would have been useful to include using the Aerobus for the airport in the plan.

Whether you're hopping metros, catching buses, riding the tram, or cruising the railways, this pass covers it all with unlimited rides across the city. Choose from 48 to 120 hours of non-stop exploring and skip the stress (and cost) of taxis, because who wants to overpay when you can just tap and go?

Seamless activation

After you make the purchase, you’ll receive a QR code or redemption number from TCM.

At any Barcelona metro ticket machine, scan the QR code or enter the number to collect your Hola Barcelona tickets.

Metro ticket machines are available during Barcelona Metro operating hours: Mon–Thu - 5am–12am, Fri - 5am–2am, Sat - 24 hours, Sun - 5am–12am. If you need help, visit a Tourist Information Office.

Validity

Before activation: Your pass is valid for 90 days after purchase.

After activation: Your pass is activated as soon as you use it for the first time and is valid for the number of 24-hour periods chosen. For example, if you select a 48-hour pass and take any public transport at 3pm on a Monday afternoon, your pass is valid till Wednesday 3pm.

Additional information

The pass cannot be used by another person.

Children under the age of 4 years can travel for free.

Redemption details

You will receive a QR-code mobile voucher, which must be exchanged for a physical Hola Barcelona Travel Card.

Your card can only be picked up from official Tourist Information Offices.

Airport T1 & T2 desks are open 8:30am–7:30pm. Please ensure your arrival time allows enough time to redeem.

If you arrive after the counters close, simply redeem your voucher at any city Tourist Information Office the next day.

Your travel card activates the first time you use it on Barcelona public transport.

Before first use, the voucher remains valid for 90 days from the date of purchase.

Your voucher will be emailed to you shortly.

Display the voucher on your mobile phone with a valid photo ID at the starting point.
