This guided tour (professional and engaging) gave us a different perspective on the cathedral complex. The tour really paid off. The information was provided in very good English and by an expert who selected important information about individual locations on the tour (e.g. function and design of the portals of the Baptistery). The selected locations and their information were very well chosen and in some cases unique (terrace of the cathedral). Highly recommended!!!

Very accommodating guide, detailed explanations of the structures and city once we were on the terraces and dome, and the ticket we were given lasts 72 hours so we were able to gain entry to the museum behind the cathedral, the baptistry and the bell tower at a time that suited us on a different day. Well worth the price, even if it is just to skip the lines!

Francesca our guide was very knowledgeable and went a lot a great pace! It was well organized and glad we were able to get to the top first and enjoy the view before it got too crowded. Easy to find the meet up location.
    • Skip the long lines and enjoy a guided tour of the Cathedral interior before ascending to the Secret Terraces for sweeping skyline views and architectural insights.

    • These terraces are typically off-limits to the public and offer side-angle views of Brunelleschi’s Dome — one of the only ways to observe the dome’s ribs, lantern, and engineering from up close.

    • Choose a small-group experience for a more intimate visit. Some tours begin at daybreak, where you may enter with the key-bearer and watch the Cathedral light up for the day.

    • Want the full picture? Upgrade your experience with a climb to Brunelleschi’s Dome or Giotto’s Bell Tower for a panoramic perspective of everything you’ve just explored from above.

Our guide did a good job. We should have known about the knee covering, but we had been traveling Italy for the past few weeks and it was not really enforced anywhere else, 9and it was 93 degrees), . It maybe helpful to add a note to your reminder that says something like- "Duomo will enforce dress codes". Just to be even more clear- but I understand this was on us. I also thought the guide would be with us all the way to the top. We got stopped for almost 25 minutes at the first interior balcony. My wife who has trouble at times with heights, was somewhat nauseous with nowhere to look but out and down. The duomo staff wouldn't help. I'm glad she wasn't sick, that would have been bad. But it was certainly an uncomfortable experience. Other than that the tour was as I expected, not great, but not bad. Our guide was good, until she wasn't there anymore.
