The guide only spoke during the bus ride to site. It wasnt clear when I purchased the tour that it did not include the entry to the Temple. The guide did not guide us through the Temple and didnt speak much about it on the ride there. The bus only had single seats available when my husband and I boarded but there were 2 seats behind the driver and 2 seats behind the guide that they wouldnt let us use so we had to Sit separately.Swati

We bought tour with entry tickets but the guide said we didn't and his recorded printout indicated without. We had to wait several minutes before he could sort it out. He said it was a sync error. He got us in somehow and we enjoyed the experience.Himanshu

My reservation included entrance to the temple. When we arrived at the place we were told even though our reservation said tickets included that it was not. We ended up paying cash for five tickets €100.Danilo

Very disappointed by this sunset excursion to the temple of Poseidon I was expecting to have a great time, but this excursion was a big disappointment. First of all, entry to the site was not included, contrary to my expectations: I had to pay €10 again, or even €20 for those without a discount. No guided tour was offered, even though it was indicated in the description. What's more, the times and meeting point were very poorly indicated on the app, which added to the stress of not missing the excursion. Even in early June, the site was completely saturated with tourists, making the experience very unpleasant. It was impossible to enjoy the sunset in these conditions, with everyone fighting to get a photo. But the worst was on the way back: the bus broke down on an expressway in the dark. The engine warning light had already come on on the outward journey, but neither the driver nor the guide took any notice. We were simply told that another bus would arrive in an hour. In the meantime, we were on the side of the road, in the middle of the night, without any assistance. Being alone, I couldn't walk home once I arrived at the meeting point in Athens after midnight, with no metro. I had to take a cab at my own expense, like many other passengers. No apology or gesture from the guide or driver - which would have been the least I could do. In short: very poor organization, neglected safety, non-existent communication. I strongly advise against this tour.Carolina

Temple of Poseidon is very nice.
Embark upon a unique half-day guided tour to Cape Sounion, a revered archaeological site with plenty of sights to offer.
Your 4-hour-long tour begins at the Temple of Poseidon, one of the best-preserved temples from the Golden Age of Athens. Poseidon is the Greek God of the sea and plays a vital role for ancient Greeks. Overlooking the Mediterranean Sea at the end of Cape Sounion, the temple stands at an elevation of 60 meters. Notice graffiti left behind by Lord Byron and soak up the stunning panoramic views of the Aegean Sea while you’re here. You will also get a chance to take a close look at the Doric architecture of the structure from the Archaic period. If you've opted for the sunset tour, brace yourself for one of the most beautiful sunsets you’ve ever seen! Glass of wine in hand, watch the sun slowly touch the sea as you commemorate the moment with a photograph.
