The Lion King is my favorite movie, so seeing the musical was honestly a pretty big deal for me. I had really high expectations going in, and somehow, it managed to exceed all of them. First of all, the Lyceum Theatre itself is beautiful. The atmosphere already makes you feel like you’re about to experience something special before the show even starts. And then the musical begins… I absolutely loved it. Every single actor, from the main characters to the smallest roles, was so talented. Their voices, acting, and stage presence were all amazing. The stage and costume design were probably one of my favorite parts. One thing I was genuinely curious about before seeing it was how a story that revolves around animals could possibly be turned into a live musical performed by actual people. But the costume design were so incredibly well done that I completely forgot about that question within seconds. The moving staircases, the way the sets transformed, and all the little details made everything feel so alive. And somehow, Scar became almost my favorite character in the musical. Which is funny because he’s definitely not my favorite character in the movie! And here’s the crazy part: I took two people with me who had NEVER seen The Lion King movie before. I know, absolutely insane. 😂 They loved it, watching their reactions throughout the show made the experience even more fun for me. There were so many moments when I got chills, and I genuinely got emotional more than once. Even though I already knew the story and every song, seeing it performed live made it feel completely different. It was emotional, beautiful, incredibly well made, and honestly just one of those experiences I’ll remember for a long time.

Absolutely spectacular! 🦁✨ The Lion King in London was such a magical experience from beginning to end. The costumes, music and creativity of the production were incredible, and the way the animals were brought to life on stage was breathtaking. The cast were fantastic and the atmosphere made you feel completely immersed in the story. A beautiful, nostalgic experience that brings out your inner child, no matter your age. Definitely a must-see when visiting London!

The Lion King show was better than we could have imagined. It was funny, they had great voices and stage presence. The Costumes and scenografi was beyond beautiful. Such a good show! We had nosebleed seating, yes- very high up, try not to look down if you're afraid of heights, but you can still see details of the scene and actors. Just pray that you don't get a tall person in front of you. Recommend it too anyone!

The Lion King is a sensational performance. The characters are big and bold and tell an enthralling story. The whole theatre is used as characters descend to the stage through the aisles from the back of the theatre. I have also seen Wicked which I highly recommend, but if you only have the time or finances to see one musicial, The Lion King holds the trump card for me.

The story was so well known but this show made it very special, new exciting and inclusive. We are parents who watched this many years ago read the story to our children and this time the performance was for us..the music and animal actions were so amazing and real. We can't choose a favourite scene too many had us clapping loudly in appreciation

Increible. La puesta en escena, las coreografias, las voces, la interpretación, no hay ningún detalle que se escape. Solo un punto negativo: la gente como sin parar en el teatro, hay ruído constante. Nos soprendió mucho este hecho. Agradezco profundamente que en Catalunya esté prohibido comer en los teatros.

Historien

The Lion King at the Lyceum Theatre was an absolutely unforgettable experience. From the moment the curtain rose, the production felt magical: the opening scene alone, with the animals moving through the audience and onto the stage, gave me goosebumps. The costumes, puppetry and set design are spectacular. It is impressive how the actors bring every animal to life with such creativity and elegance, while the music makes the story even more emotional and powerful. Even if you already know the film by heart, seeing it performed live gives it a completely new dimension. The cast was excellent, with strong voices, great energy and real emotion throughout the show. The performances of Simba, Scar, Mufasa, Timon and Pumbaa were particularly memorable, balancing drama, humour and warmth perfectly. The orchestra also deserves a special mention: the music sounded incredible in the theatre. The Lyceum Theatre itself is beautiful and has a very special atmosphere, although some seats may have a slightly restricted view, so it is worth checking before booking. Overall, this is much more than a musical: it is a visual and emotional journey for all ages. Whether you are visiting London or live here, The Lion King is absolutely worth seeing.

Magnífico. Yo veía animales, no a gente vistiendo máscaras. Los movimientos, la música y las voces llegaron a emocionarme. Sabía que era un gran espectáculo pero no de por que espere tanto para verlo siendo que visitó Londres cada año. Lo recomiendo de corazón, no me quedan palabras para describir esta obra maestra!

The whole show was just incredible,right from the beginning the buzz in the theatre was amazing,the show itself blew us away and my 3 year old granddaughter sat transfixed through out. Couldn't recommend this show highly enough.

Tolle Kostüme und großartige Schauspieler, die auch mit ihren Stimmen überzeugen konnten! Und das Theater selbst ist schon einen Besuch wert! Nicht zu vergessen, dass auch der Service rundherum gepasst hat.
