It was very pleasant and reassuring to buy tickets in advance, knowing the exact time I was supposed to enter and knowing that I wouldn't have to wait in the long line you see in the photo. All day long, I was confident that the schedule I had planned wouldn't fall through. We had a wonderful time at both the zoo and the aquarium, got through the entrance quickly by scanning our pre-purchased tickets, and saved money by buying the zoo + aquarium combo ticket. The aquarium is wonderful, visually perfectly designed. Especially the opportunity to watch and photograph the fish from below, swimming over my head. There is even a small octopus, which I hadn't seen in other aquariums. A wonderful, aesthetic, and unforgettable experience. The zoo was a disappointment due to the small number of animals, with some being absent and the main building closed. I thought that such a big city would have a correspondingly large zoo, which is why I bought us tickets for two days of sightseeing.

The aquarium is large and very well designed. We had fun looking for the different fish in their thoughtfully designed habitats. The shark tunnel is exceptional because you can see the rays and sharks from below. The interactive exhibits found throughout the tour allow both children and adults to learn while having fun.

The Barcelona Aquarium is extraordinarily beautiful and we were able to see many species...small and large. The Zoo is beautiful, being very hot many of the animals were hidden....others are missing because the zoo is being remodeled. The experience was wonderful!

Both are really beautiful to see, especially with young children. The only downside is that the zoo was missing several animals, such as lions and elephants, for example.

The aquarium is definitely worth a visit. Even the entrance is spectacular, with LED walls. The sharks were swimming right above your head! The zoo was a letdown. Most of the animals weren't visible, and much of the park was closed off due to construction.

Located in the heart of the city at Ciutadella Park, a visit to the Barcelona Zoo is ideal for a family day out. It hosts over 400 species of mammals, reptiles and birds, including some that are rare and endangered. The Zoo also hosts school trips for students across all ages in the hopes of better educating people about the importance of rescuing and protecting endangered species and biodiversity in general.

The Zoo has been divided in 11 distinct spaces, each housing certain related species. The Land of Dragons, for instance is dedicated to a set of animals native to Asia Pacific, especially the Komodo dragons that it is named after. At the Terrarium, see one of the most varied collections of amphibians and reptiles in all of Europe including iguanas, poison dart frogs, boa constrictors or pythons!

The primate enclosure was inaugurated in 2006 and is dedicated solely to gorillas, the primates that are closest in nature and biology to human beings. There’s also Aquarama, the zoo's colony of sea lions. The large circular tank of water that houses the sea lions is three stories high and holds two and a half million litres of water. The first floor of Aquarama is also home to a number of species native to the Mediterranean and Atlantic coasts.
