The view of the city is stupendous. And although you have to pay extra, you definitely want to visit the castle. So book your cable car early, See the castle and come back down. Then do the aquarium in the afternoon when Barcelona is sizzling. The aquarium is not like any you've ever seen before. And the ticket retrieval and skip the line West. Definitely worth it.

An uninspired combination of a cable car and an aquarium, as it lacks a sense of continuity—a combination of a funicular leading down to Port Vell and an aquarium located in that area would have been more appropriate.

It was an amazing experience to see the beautiful city of Barcelona from such a height. The cable car ride is fantastic; it only takes a few minutes, and the view is breathtaking. You can see the Sagrada Familia, the Camp Nou soccer stadium, and the harbor.
