We had an absolutely fantastic guided tour of the Colosseum, Palatine Hill, and the Roman Forum! It was truly an unforgettable experience. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about the history of Ancient Rome. They brought everything to life and made the tour interesting and enjoyable from beginning to end. Walking through the Colosseum and imagining what life was like thousands of years ago was amazing. Palatine Hill was beautiful, with incredible views, and the Roman Forum was simply fascinating. Having a guide to explain the history and stories behind everything made such a big difference. We learned so much and thoroughly enjoyed every moment. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Rome. A wonderful experience and definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Italy! Thank you for making our visit to Rome so special!

What a discovery! It is one thing to have vague memories from history or Latin classes, old sword-and-sandal movies, or Asterix from our childhood, but it is quite another to come face-to-face with the cruel scale of the Colosseum and the multiple layers of the Forum, which centuries of silt had made disappear and which archaeological passion has brought back to life in its ruins. Do not venture into these violent centuries—the roots of our words, our woes, and our culture—without a guide capable of getting you safely through these bloody eras full of incompatible beliefs, thanks to ironic anecdotes and brilliant insights! Gill guided us wonderfully in this way with his knowledge, shared effortlessly, and a sense of humor worthy of Italy!

We were a family of 4 and we enjoyed the visit at evey part of the tour. The group was small, around 10 people, which was easy for us to move along the site and keep pace. Our guide was very friendly, had knowledge and explained everything making connections and using examples to make it undertandable to everyone.. He was open to questions and told us to ask anything that we would like to know more about. The Roman forum was magnificent as well, we walkwd around it making stops to have afurther look to what needed to be marked. Of course, it s a huge market and because it was August it was to hard for is ro climb the aPalatine hill at 40 degrees . Definately the Colosseum was my favorite in Rome.

Great informative tour that led us through the Colesseom and into the arena floor. It was amazing to stand there and look up at the stands and imagine what it once would have been like. Following this we went into the Forum, and saw more of the ancient city's ruins. The guide was informative and provided headsets so that you could clearly hear what was being said. He provided small details that you wouldn't usually get which made the experience great.

Everything was great—our tour was moved up by an hour—the guide, Roberto, spoke German really well—better than some locals back home—he explained everything really well—the tour lasted a good 3 hours, and the team from Nicole Tours was also very professional; you just have to listen and follow the instructions, and then everything works out. I really can’t understand the bad reviews at all—we’d book everything through HeadOut again in a heartbeat.

Excellent experience. There were only 11 of us, all Spanish-speaking, with Iván, a very friendly and entertaining guide. Even though we got caught in a wind and rain storm during part of the tour, the experience was very enjoyable. Just one suggestion: the guides could carry plastic rain ponchos in case of unexpected rain, like what happened to us. They are very low cost and it would be an excellent service.
