I am very happy to have had this experience! We've had an amazing evening enjoying wonderful music. All staff was very helpful and professional. The concert started at the right time and finished as well. The atmosphere was simply incredible.
    • Set in Vienna’s iconic Karlskirche, this 1-hour concert features Vivaldi’s Four Seasons — a vivid journey through spring, summer, autumn, and winter.

    • Performed by Orchestra 1756, known for their historically informed style and period instruments, the ensemble delivers Vivaldi’s score with striking clarity and character.

    • Experience the drama of The Four Seasons through expressive solos and dynamic ensemble passages, echoing birdsong, storms, rustling leaves, and icy winds.

    • Admire Karlskirche’s Baroque grandeur — marble columns, golden altars, ornate stucco, and vivid frescoes glowing under soft evening light.

    • Did you know Vivaldi composed The Four Seasons while working at a girls’ orphanage? It’s reimagined here with precision by an acclaimed ensemble.

Positive: a great location and a fantastic performance. Neutral: The church was pretty warm inside due to the tropical temperatures, but sitting close to a fan (row 6) made it comfortable enough. Negative: The church pews were pretty hard after a while, pressed into my back, and the seat was a bit short. There were also chairs that looked more comfortable. But since specific seats couldn’t be reserved (at least in my case), I don’t know if that’s generally possible. Overall: the atmosphere and the enjoyment of the music clearly outweighed the comfort!!! I’d go back anytime!

It was great. I was worried that an hour and fifteen minutes of classical music off of the same composer would be too much but it helped me get a renewed interest in classical music to begin with even though I normally don't listen to it. Seeing it in that setting also felt like a transformative situation. Here there are no people in 1700s clothing and no waltzing. In other words no kitsch touristy stuff, just a true classy enjoyable experience.

A wonderful concert. Dimitris Karakantas's performance was top-notch. After the concert, I purchased his studio recording of Vivaldi's Four Seasons. I was pleased to note that the recording session took place at the Penderecki European Music Centre in Lusławice. I'm from Poland and live near Lusławice.

A very beautiful church with wonderful acoustics—slightly muffled, of course, but that’s precisely what makes it interesting. The ensemble performs with great professionalism, precision, and enthusiasm. A feast for the senses! It’s definitely worth reading up on the movement titles and descriptions on Wikipedia beforehand.
