The light show in the Votivkirche is a truly impressive experience. The projections bring out the best in the already beautiful architecture and, together with the music, create a special, almost meditative atmosphere. It is less of an action-packed show and more something to marvel at and let sink in. Important to know: the seats make a difference—in the middle or further back, you can see the effects much better and as a whole than at the very front. Overall, it's a great show, and I'm glad I saw it. Nevertheless, I wouldn't necessarily say it's an absolute must-see when visiting Vienna. If you have time, go for it.

It was a great event, the light show was very impressive and also suited the church. A few scenes were a bit "intense" for me (lots of "flashing" etc. in very quick succession), and unfortunately there are always people in the audience who can't resist using their cell phone sticks, even though a friendly announcement had been made beforehand asking people "not to disturb their neighbors" with such things.

A very successful lighting composition that subtly, precisely, and artfully highlighted the details of the Votivkirche. At times, we would have liked to have had deck chairs so that we could fully enjoy the projections on the ceiling. The half hour was a good length for us, also because our feet started to get cold at some point. A wonderful experience.

I really liked the show overall, be warned tho - it's really cold in there in winter(they warn you on the site, still worth mentioning). The lightning is phenomenal imo, the sound is a bit harsh on the higher notes but still good, would recommend and will probably visit again when it's a bit warmer.
