The Vienna City Card made it possible for us to reach many sights in a very short time and to visit them with reduced admission. All the outer districts are also very easy to reach. A negative aspect for us was the construction site for streetcars 1 and 2, which meant we had to use the 71E rail replacement service, which was unpunctual and sometimes passed through the stop. Unfortunately, we were unable to validate the barcode of the digital card at any point. This should be done on the first day? We will definitely recommend the City Card to others.

In Vienna, the train is a great means of transportation - we always got to our destinations very quickly. Since Vienna is a very expensive place, it was nice to save on sightseeing with the Vienacard, but there are also places you can visit for free like the city park or just take the train further and get off somewhere. You will be surprised at the diversity of Vienna behind the big tourist magnets....

Public transportation in Vienna is excellent. Fast, safe and clean connections. High regard from Berlin connoisseurs. No need to say a word about the galleries. That is world class. Our journey by car to our accommodation was a disaster. Road closures due to construction work. Like the locals, we obviously ended up in real traps. Detour were not indicated. Sad.

At the Tiergarten I had problems with the acceptance of the e-Card for the discount on admission. The ticket office employee insisted on having the physical Vienna Card for the discount. It took him a while to turn to his colleague, who confirmed the validity of my e-card. It was an unfortunate situation!

Every ride on trams, buses and metro was seamless. We saw almost all the top 10 attractions in 2 days. The transport network is super efficient. And waiting time for interchanges average no more than 5 mins.
