Getting started

Start your adventure at the meeting point near the London Eye or Covent Garden (choose on the next page). Make sure to arrive at least 15 mins before your scheduled departure to allow time for ticket verification and seating. Friendly staff will greet you, help you settle into your reserved seats, and serve you your Afternoon Tea to kick off your festive journey in comfort and style.

The Snowman™ Afternoon Tea Bus

Step aboard a decorated double-decker bus and immerse yourself in a unique holiday experience inspired by Raymond Briggs’ beloved classic, The Snowman™.

Features:

Sightseeing with a seasonal twist: Sit back and relax as you cruise past London's landmarks, including Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, the Houses of Parliament, Trafalgar Square, and Piccadilly Circus, all decked up for the holidays. Evening tours offer the added sparkle of London’s famous Christmas light displays on Oxford Street and Regent Street, complete with glowing angels overhead.

Festive afternoon tea service: Indulge in a specially crafted menu of wintry treats and traditional nibbles. Enjoy a selection of finger sandwiches, sultana scones served with clotted cream and jam, festive cupcakes, mince pies, and signature Snowball truffles inspired by The Snowman™.

Winter wonderland ambience: A carefully curated playlist of music from The Snowman™ and classic Christmas carols enhances the atmosphere onboard.

Themed décor and storytelling: The bus itself is transformed into a snowy wonderland, adorned with festive decorations and visuals from The Snowman™, creating an immersive storytelling experience.

What’s not allowed

Children under 5 years are not allowed on this experience.

Accessibility

Wheelchair users can sit on the lower deck but must occupy one of the fixed-position seats.

Additional information

The Snowman™ Afternoon Tea bus tours operate from November 22, 2025, to January 4, 2026.

The tours from the London Eye depart at 12pm & 4:45pm, and the tours depart from Aldwych at 12:15pm, 1:45pm, and 5pm. Please check in 15 minutes before your departure time.

This Afternoon Tea experience is paired perfectly with The Snowman™ theatre show in the West End. The bus departure times run before and after the show, with a departure point in Aldwych, right by the theatre.

Children aged 15 and under must be accompanied by a paying adult.

The route is subject to change due to road closures and traffic conditions.

Some of the dishes on the menus may be subject to change.

This is a shared experience, and you may have to share tables.

There are no toilets on board.

The menu features a selection of standard (non-vegetarian), vegetarian, vegan, halal, and gluten-free options. To accommodate specific allergies or dietary needs, please email reservations@goldentours.com at least 72 hours before your visit. If no special dietary requests are received, you will be served the standard meal on the day of travel. Please note that the operator will be unable to accommodate dietary requirements on the day of your visit.
