The South East Asia (S.E.A) Aquarium located in Sentosa Island is the second largest in the region. S.E.A Aquarium holds 45 million liters of water which houses more than 100,000 marine animals. The animals are spread over 10 zones which have 49 habitats in all. With a fascinating array of exhibits, the museum is constantly rated among the top three aquariums in Asia. Post Covid-19 Safety Measures and New Rules at SEA Aquarium

Following the COVID-19 pandemic, SEA Aquarium Singapore authorities have enforced a couple of safety measures:
  • All visitors are required to wear masks covering their nose and mouth while visiting the park.
  • All shows, public feeding sessions, and character meet and greet have been temporarily suspended until further notice.
  • Group entry has been restricted to 5 members to avoid overcrowding.
  • Contactless payment is encouraged throughout.

1. How do I get to SEA Aquarium by Cable Car?
The cable car is a popular option to combine sightseeing with transport.
Board the cable car from Harbourfront station and disembark at the Imbiah Station. Take the Sentosa Express and alight at the Waterfront station.
Head towards the Merlion Statuette and cross the bridge to arrive at the Maritime Experiential Museum.
The aquarium is located inside the museum.
2. How do I get to SEA Aquarium by car?
Drive on the Sentosa Gateway and stick to the left lane towards the Resorts World Sentosa Car Park.
Turn right towards the space for ‘Cars/Taxi’ and follow the signage to ‘B1 East’.
Locate the nearest Car Park directory and follow directions to S.E.A.Aquarium on Level 1.
Extra parking charges will apply for the car park. Make sure you remember the parking spot.

You can take buses from Vivocity or Harborfront for the Resorts World Sentosa Bus Stop 14519. Enter the forum and head to Level 1.

S.E.A. Aquarium is built across 10 zones which are replicated to resemble oceans. Some of the zones are the Red Sea, South China Sea, Strait of Karimata & Java Sea, Bay of Bengal & Laccadive Sea, the lakes of East Africa and the Open Ocean journey. They host a variety of marine animals including endangered and unique animals like Hammerhead Sharks, Giant Moray Eel, Reef Manta Ray, Groupers and Giant Crabs. The S.E.A. Aquarium has more than 50 habitats and also offers exclusive visitor experiences like VIP Tours and Ocean Dreams - a unique overnight experience.

Strait of Karimata and Java Sea

Capturing the essence of sea life from southern Sumatra, this zone houses a shipwreck which adds to the ambiance of being underwater. This forgotten ship now provides a home to thousands of marine creatures including pompanos, batfish, groupers, Napoleon wrasse, threadfin trevally, and more species.

Strait of Malacca and Andaman Sea

Get teleported to the Strait of Malacca, an infamous sea lane is known world over for piracy. Walk on the glass floors and witness the oceanic predators swimming below you including the Leopard Wrasse and the Blue Flasher Wrasse. The ‘Discovery Touch Pool’ allows guests to get a feel of some marine life including sea stars, pencil sea urchins, sea cucumbers, and other non-dangerous species.

Bay of Bengal and Laccadive Sea

Home to some of the most endangered plants and animals in the world, the Bay of Bengal zone houses the famous fish from the land of the mangroves. Spot the mudskippers, archerfish, silver batfish, and other indigenous varieties. This zone also houses two specialities; ‘Coral Reef’ - home to spotted garden eels, reef lobsters, long-nosed hawkfish, and gobies - and the ‘Patch Reef of Brain Corals’ which is similar to those found in the Laccadive Sea teeming with angelfish.

Ocean Journey

Visit the Indo-Pacific bottlenose dolphins and learn the many interesting facts about these graceful mammals. A special zone dedicated to the gentle giants of the sea, be sure to visit the Cold Water Habitat in this zone. Watch schools of fish maneuvering the tank in perfect unison and keep your eyes peeled at the pulsating sea jelly with their translucent neon-blue glows. Be sure to spot the chambered nautilus and the guitarfish as you enjoy the creatures on display.

Open Ocean

Combining the diverse collection of marine life in one display, this zone offers a panoramic view of the underwater landscape. This magical realm houses species of leopard sharks, goliath groupers, sawfish, mahi-mahi, and an entire squadron of manta rays. The unbelievable diversity on display is a beautiful sight capable of inspiring and relaxing at the same time.

Persian Gulf and Arabian Sea

Explore the waters of the Persian Gulf at the S.E.A Aquarium Singapore. The rugged shores, the deep blue water an unusual semi-aquatic creatures of the Persian Gulf are right in front of you to view. Catch the native species of the Persian Gulf including the blue-spotted stingray, eight-armed seastar, sally lightfoot crab, and many more species. Be sure to explore the underwater hanging gardens at the ‘Soft Coral Garden’ and the ‘Overhanging Coral Reef’ filled with reef fish.

Red Sea

Also known as the ‘Rainforest of the Sea’, the Red Sea is home to a diverse array of corals due to its high salt content. See the many warm-water fish including the fairy basslet, yellow boxfish, orange striped triggerfish, fire shrimp and more scouting the area populated by sea fans and corals.

East Africa

Get teleported halfway around the world as you explore the diverse marine life of Africa. With two freshwater lake habitats, the zone is home to an enormous variety of fish with colors all across the visual spectrum. See the native African sea life including cichlids such as frontosa and mbuna and the deadly tigerfish, often called the piranhas of Africa.

South China Sea

Experience the colorful, vibrant marine life of the South China Sea. With exotic species including lionfish, squirrelfish, soldierfish and an array of lobsters, marvel at the colors and designs of these unique creatures. Don’t forget to check out the special ‘Moray Eel’ habitat where you can catch close-up views of these shy but deadly creatures.

Shark Seas

The last, most majestic zone at S.E.A Aquarium Singapore, Shark Seas is a memorable experience. Outside food and beverages are not allowed inside the aquarium.
