The catacombs were impressive!! The guide was very clear, and we really appreciated the detailed historical explanations about the different areas and levels of the catacombs. We were also interested in the information provided at the end of the tour about the association’s recent efforts to restore the site for visitors, along with the impact on the neighborhood.

The best part is the guides’ explanations. The social cooperative does a magnificent job in the Sanità neighborhood of Naples. We saw the Catacombs of San Genaro, and, at the guide’s suggestion, we continued the tour to the Catacombs of San Gaudioso, which included a visit to a typical Neapolitan nativity scene—it was a lot of fun. An excellent two-in-one tour!

The Catacombs was a cool retreat from the heat above, and the guide was very knowledgeable. I was astounded to learn of the three different ways to be buried, and it was a nice surprise to be able to visit for free the other catacombs in Naples at a later time!

An amazing place. The catacombs are vast and well-preserved. The foundation that restored them and organizes the tours is doing a wonderful job in the Sanita neighborhood. The guides are very professional and attentive. And they’re volunteers for the foundation! Congratulations.
