Magnificent building, wonderful discovery. The originality comes from the fact that you have to wait for someone to arrive at a meeting point 500 meters from the Colosseum to give you the tickets you booked online. It would have been ideal to have them sent directly to my phone!!!

These tickets, which I feared would be a rip-off, turned my vacation around. I highly recommend purchasing the Colosseum tickets with access to the Arena because they allow you to visit many secondary museums within the Colosseum archaeological park.

Despite purchasing tickets in advance, we still had to wait around 10 minutes at the Colosseum and around 20 minutes at the Roman Forum. The audio guide is very confusing to use. Next time, I would prefer a guided tour.

I was skeptical at first because I had read so many bad reviews and testimonials beforehand. But I have to say it was really great. We first had a meeting point with a guide for the tickets, then I received an email saying that we had already received the tickets by email. I also had some questions beforehand about the actual meeting point, and I received a reply within three minutes. So I would definitely book through Headout again. Sure, you pay a little more, but that's okay because it's really less stressful. We also visited the Vatican through Headout, which was also great. Unfortunately, we were a few minutes late, but they waited for us and a guide took us to our group in the Vatican. No waiting in line, no queuing, we went straight in with him and then continued with the group. That was even more worthwhile. The waiting times are usually really long, but this way you get in straight away. The audio guide in German was also good. All in all, I have to say it was really nice. I was very happy with the experience. Thank you so much for saving me time.

    Beautiful historical place!
  • Visit two of Rome's crown jewels with this one ticket: the Colosseum, as well as the Castel Sant'Angelo. Both have played a fundamental part in shaping the history of Rome!

    The Colosseum

As one of Italy’s most popular destinations, the Colosseum brings in over 5 million visitors every year. It is believed that the ancient emperors created it as a gift to the Roman people. This grand outdoor amphitheater once served as the epicenter for entertainment, hosting public spectacles and games. The exhibitions of exotic animals, executions of prisoners, and gladiator fights kept the Roman people entertained for years here at the Colosseum. Step back in time, marvel at the impressive architecture, and walk the floor of the greatest arena known to mankind. Your ticket also includes entry to the Palatine Hill and Roman Forum. Tour popular sites such as the Temple of Antoninus Pius, the Arch of Septimius Severus, and more. Palatine Hill, on the other hand, was once considered the most desirable neighborhood in Rome. Today it lives on as an extensive archaeological site.

    Castel Sant'Angelo

Built in AD 135–139 by Emperor Hadrian as a mausoleum for himself and his family, the Castel Sant'Angelo has had quite an interesting history. In the Middle Ages, it was transformed into a fortress and over the next 10 centuries served as a military building and a place of refuge for popes during the sieges in 1527. Explore the museum here and get a sneak peek into Roman history and architecture. Divided into five floors that are connected by a spiral ramp, you will have access to the chamber of ashes, and the cells in which many historical figures were incarcerated. You will also see beautifully decorated rooms that acted as a Papal residence and an extensive collection of ancient weapons. Make your way to the large terrace on the top floor, where you can wrap up your experience with stunning, panoramic views of Rome.
