Did you know?

Camp Nou hosted its first European Cup Winners' Cup final in May 1972, featuring a thrilling match between Rangers and Dynamo Moscow, with the Rangers emerging victorious with a score of 3–2.

Originally planned to be called Estadi del FC Barcelona, the stadium adopted the more popular name Camp Nou, meaning "new field."

The design of Camp Nou was inspired by De Kuip, the home stadium of Feyenoord Rotterdam which features oval rings around the pitch.

In 1999, Camp Nou was the venue for the UEFA Champions League Final between Manchester United and Bayern Munich, where Manchester United staged a dramatic comeback to win the match.

Beyond football, Camp Nou has hosted various events, including Pope John Paul II celebrating Mass in front of over 121,500 attendees in 1982 and the Three Tenors concert featuring Josep Carreras, Plácido Domingo, and Luciano Pavarotti in 1997.

Why visit Camp Nou Stadium?

Europe's largest stadium

Camp Nou is Europe's largest stadium and towers over the cityscape, providing breathtaking views of the surrounding area. It has a capacity of 99,354 and covers a surface area of 55,000 square metres. The stadium is currently under renovation, with plans to reach a seating capacity of 105,000 spectators which, when completed, would make it the third largest football stadium in the world after the Narendra Modi Stadium in Gujarat, India and the Rungrado Stadium in North Korea.

Explore the FC Barcelona museum and trophy room

Delve into the rich heritage of FC Barcelona through interactive exhibits, historic memorabilia, and a collection of prestigious trophies that showcase the club's illustrious past.

Visit the chapel and pay homage to FC Barcelona legends

Discover the spiritual side of Camp Nou with a visit to the chapel, where players and fans alike come to reflect and pay tribute to the club's iconic figures and moments.

Enjoy panoramic views from the stands

Climb to the top of the stadium and take in panoramic views of the pitch below, soaking in the atmosphere of one of the most iconic sporting venues in the world.

Highlights

Plan your visit

Main entrance

The main entrance to Camp Nou is located on Avenida de Joan XXIII, near the Les Corts metro station. Visitors should expect waiting times of around 30 minutes to an hour during peak hours, especially on match days or busy tourist seasons. The entrance leads directly to the ticket offices, where visitors can purchase tickets for stadium tours, museum visits, or matches. Additionally, there are security checkpoints at the entrance, so it's advisable to arrive early to allow for any necessary screening procedures.

Great guide, Marc, very knowledgeable and approachable. Group was 25 so a good size. The basillica is just extraordinary! Pictures dont do it justice, you have to see it. Absolutely incredible! I will ask though to please update the meeting point, the restaurant we were given to meet outside doesn't exist anymore, luckily a guide from the company was waiting for us.

The bus tour was an incredible experience—you literally get to see all of Barcelona. I recommend studying the map beforehand and getting off at the stops that interest you most. If you download the City Tour app, you can see where the bus is coming from so you don’t end up waiting in vain at the stop. I also recommend the 48-hour tour—there are so many beautiful places. We spent two hours just at the MNAC, and we only managed to see half of it, and then we continued with the tour. Excellent app, and I recommend getting tickets in advance—not for the tour, since there’s always availability, but the other sites sell out quickly.
