Getting started

Enter Bird Paradise at Mandai Wildlife Reserve and begin exploring the park's bird habitats. Use the included tram ride to move through the park while listening to onboard English commentary, then continue on foot through the walk-through aviaries and plan your visit around the bird presentations.

What to expect

Themed walk-through aviaries

Bird Paradise spans 17 hectares and has 8 large walk-through aviaries, each designed around a different habitat and its resident bird species.

• Heart of Africa: Explore the park's largest aviary, home to around 80 bird species including turacos and other African birds.

• Kuok Group Wings of Asia: See species such as Australian Pelicans, Black-faced Spoonbills, Milky Storks and Papuan Hornbills within a habitat inspired by Asian landscapes.

• Ocean Network Express Penguin Cove: Visit the enclosed penguin habitat and watch the birds both above and underwater.

• Hong Leong Foundation Crimson Wetlands: Walk through a wetland habitat where colourful birds such as Scarlet Ibises and Roseate Spoonbills can be found.

Bird presentations

Head to the PropNex Sky Amphitheatre for two daily presentations showcasing different aspects of bird behaviour and flight. Presentation timings can change, so check the Mandai app or onsite information on the day of your visit.

• Predators on Wings: Watch birds of prey including White-bellied Sea Eagles, Turkey Vultures and Harris's Hawks demonstrate their hunting and flying abilities.

• Wings of the World: See parrots, hornbills and other birds demonstrate their natural behaviours, flight abilities and vocal talents.

Tram ride and bird encounters

Use the complimentary tram ride with onboard English commentary to cover the park while learning about its birdlife, then explore the habitats on foot at your own pace. Bird Paradise also offers animal feeding sessions and keeper talks where available, giving you additional ways to observe and learn about the birds.

Continue exploring the park after the presentations, or revisit your preferred aviaries before leaving. The Mandai app provides wayfinding, suggested itineraries and presentation reminders to help you plan the rest of your visit.
