The National Archaeological Museum in Naples is one of the many fantastic attractions accessible with the Artecard Campania 3-day pass. It has a magnificent collection of ancient artifacts from the Roman and Greek civilizations. The ruins of Pompeii, a Roman city that was buried when Mount Vesuvius erupted in 79 A.D., are among them.
Besides Paestum, a major archaeological site with three Greek temples and a remarkably intact ancient city center, the ruins of Herculaneum, another Roman city buried by Vesuvius' lava flow, can be seen as well. Visit the Royal Palace, formerly the residence of the kings of Naples, and the Castel dell'Ovo, a fortress built on a tiny island in the Gulf of Naples, to take in stunning views of the city and its surroundings. Use this pass to enter the ancient Catacombs of San Gennaro and discover early Christian graves.
