Lots to see at the American Natural History Museum, I'd recommend buying the tickets in advance online as they will tell you to do this in line anyway. Also I wouldn't buy all of exhibitions tickets, each one is fascinating and was well worth $10 each but you won't have time to see them all plus the regular entry exhibits. The Hayden Planetarium was a stand out for me though so I'd recommend working that in for sure. It blows away the one at the Franklin Institute in Philly.

General admission is a combination of a traditional museum with modern elements. There is an opportunity to touch selected exhibits. The individual exhibitions are diverse but not overwhelming. It’s amazing how you managed to create displays that are understandable even for children, yet still engaging for professionals and experts. I only had time to see one ticketed exhibition – Milky Way. That was the highlight of the visit. A true example of the modern era of museology.

I used to go very frequently when I was in College in the metropolitan area. After many years of my graduation dates (a couple of majors and masters) I still go an visit this extraordinary place with my family every time I return to the area to visit my family. Very well organized, valuable information displayed, clean, easy to access. Great experience as usual. Congratulations!

I took very few photos, because I was so drawn into the fascinating exhibits. I loved the Big Bang experience, the beauty of Invisible Worlds, and the Global Warming exhibit. It was a wonderful afternoon.
