We used a three-day ticket for our long weekend in Barcelona. It was incredibly convenient! Since the distances between the sights are quite significant, the metro was the perfect choice. Activating the ticket was simple using the QR code received via email; we did this at the metro station just around the corner from our hotel. I didn't quite understand how to do it at first, but I asked at the help desk—excellent, speedy service.

Very convenient to have a ticket to go wherever you want, stress-free. The only difficulty was finding the spot to validate the ticket; we went everywhere, but after queueing up, it wasn't the right place. In case it helps anyone who has yet to go, you need to look for the big red machines directly in the metro.

The card is fantastic, but through Headout you pay unnecessary extra service fees and get an old-fashioned card without a QR code. You can't scan it, so you have to insert it into the gate reader every single time.

The beginning was a bit tough, as we had to ask around the entire airport to find out where to get our ticket. However, the lady in the office was wonderfully friendly and helpful. Using the metro and bus is self-explanatory, and the connections run without long wait times. I will definitely use this card again next time.

Seamless activation

Once you purchase the card, your voucher will be sent via email with a personalized code.

Enter this code at a ticket vending machine in any metro station to obtain your physical pass. This eliminates the need for shipping costs or long queues.

Hop on metros and buses around the city, and begin your adventure!

Validity

Before activation: Your pass is valid for 180 days from the date of purchase, or until the last day of February of the following year at the latest.

After activation: Your pass is activated as soon as you use it for the first time and is valid for the number of 24-hour periods chosen. For example, if you select a 48-hour pass and take any public transport at 3pm on a Monday afternoon, your pass is valid till Wednesday 3pm.

The pass cannot be used by another person.

Children under the age of 4 years can travel for free.
