Es ist ein sehr familienfreundliches Musical, was sich auch im Großteil des Publikums gezeigt hat, da die Geschichte nicht allzu kompliziert, jedoch interessiert gestaltet ist. Sowohl die zahlreichen Kinder als auch die erwachsenen Darsteller haben eine bewundernswerte Performance abgeliefert. Jede Szene war amüsant; vom Anfang bis zur letzten Sekunde. Ich habe das Musical zum ersten Mal in London gesehen und war sehr beeindruckt! Auch die Musik war wunderschön und die meisten Lieder waren mir noch nicht bekannt, bis auf ca. zwei Songs. Ich saß zwar in der letzten Reihe, habe jedoch die ganze Bühne gut überschauen können..

We came from Belgium to Londen to enjoy the musical Matilda. I got the book as a present in 1989 as I was a huge fan of Roald Dahl...and my firstborn was called Mathilde...As she started this year working at GOSH, it was the perfect moment to come with her siblings and see the show. All our expectations were exceeded, we enjoyed every second and the children and all the actors were amazing. The characters from the book really come to life on the beautifull stage. For us, it was an unforgettable evening. You shouldn´t miss it!

El espectáculo es como dice la palabra ESPECTACULAR! Los pequeños actores y actrices son inmejorables. Muy buena escenificación. Los cambios de planos increíbles. Todo todo el espectáculo inmejorable. Solo que si tienes oportunidad no dudes en comprar buenas butacas, en mi caso fue todo a última hora y adquirimos las más baratas. Mi visibilidad fue mala por el añadido que tuve la mala suerte de tener una persona alta delante (adjunto foto para que podáis comprar cuál importante es poder elegir butaca)

The story

Het was een fantastische voor stelling! Geweldige acteurs: petje af voor de jonge kinderen. De muziek, het dansen, de zang, de geluidseffecten, het licht. We zaten bovenin, maar hadden heel goed zicht op het podium. Verbazingwekkend hoeveel er van decor werd gewisseld, telkens was er iets nieuws te zien. Dubbel en dwars de moete waard om hierbij aanwezig te zijn geweest!

I went to see Matilda the Musical and I don’t think I will ever forget how it made me feel. At first, I thought it would just be a fun show with songs and dancing. But very quickly, it felt like the story was talking directly to my heart. Matilda made me feel brave. She is small, but her thoughts are big, and she never stops believing that words, imagination, and kindness matter. Watching her stand up for herself made me feel like maybe I can be brave too, even when things feel unfair. There were moments when I laughed so hard, and moments when my eyes filled with tears without me even noticing. The music stayed inside me, and the actors didn’t just perform — they felt every emotion, and they gave those feelings to us in the audience. When the show ended, I didn’t want to clap and leave. I wanted to stay in that world a little longer. I walked out feeling stronger, warmer, and somehow more understood. This musical isn’t just for kids or adults. It’s for anyone who has ever felt small, different, or unheard and needed a reminder that they matter.
