I'm not normally a fan of musicals so arrived not expecting much: I found the experience not just a visual feast of movement and design but very emotional. I cried a lot - it was allegorical of slavery: Simba's story of being usurped from his homeland and his birthright: as he got older falling in love and shouldering responsibility (the circle of life). The cast were uniformly wonderful. It was a spectacle - the children were all kept engaged by the characters and the set design was very clever eg a stampeded of wildebeest. My favourite character was Rafiki - she had a wonderful voice. Thank you!

My expectations was high to finally watch the world famous Lion King at the lyceum theatre! Not only were they met but they were exceeded by far. The actors, their voices, the scenery, the stage were all breathtaking! But the most important thing for me was the thought behind all the scenes and the attention to detail. They managed to direct a cartoon animal movie in a way that it was clear and satisfying. My three year old daughter who doesn't speak english didn't move throughout the show!! I think that alone says it all!!

The best show always! Everything is very professional, costumes are great and very colorful, the music is amazing and contagious, the effects and lights makes you feel you are in the movie, everything works and is synchronized perfectly. Is a long show but totally worth it and have a little break in the middle. I was on the top part and still enjoyed a lot. Theater was full which means they keep up with the quality. Easy to enter and staff helps you to find your seat or the bathroom or anything you need. Good costumer service.

The story

What a show!! First time in London and first time attending a play of any sorts. Took my daughters and wife as well and was their first play. Loved the theatre and the accommodations. Very intimate and you could literally see the stage from every seat in the room. Acting and singing was amazing and the ease of the digital ticket system was simple. Will be back in London next year around this time again with family and will definitely make going to another play a top priority.

The lion king show was absolutely amazing! Definitely recommend to watch! Next time I would pay for more to sit front of the stage I felt like the normal seat are too close together and squashy . Overall brilliant really enjoy it.

I have seen the lion king as a film numerous times because my Kids really enjoyed it so this musical beside being impecable brought back a lot of nice memories. Sorry cannot upload photos since photos were not alowed :(

We really enjoyed the show. The actors were great and I was totally amazed at how they portrayed the animals. Other than the stairs to get up to the Grand Circle we all had a great time!

The stage, the costumes, the singing, the dancing, the colours. Everything was so beautiful and memorable. It is amazing how alive, colourfull and well played it was.
