I did both tours, and they are equally worth doing, and equally offering very different perspectives. An error was initially made, as I was sold the wrong ticket when I booked it from London, which caused some confusion, but all the staff were very polite and helpful and the problem was resolved. Seeing the mines are very unique. I strongly recommend a visit. Thank you.

Touring such a large mine was an incredibly impressive. Our guide was very humorous, knowledgeable and experienced. The information about the underground channels and the history of the mine was quite interesting. However we didn't know that there was two different tours during buying the tickets from "headout". I think, unfortunately we couldn't see the largest church in the mine and some sculptures made by salt, although these are existing on the web sites. This disappointed us.

What to bring

Dress in layers, as temperatures underground remain between 14°C and 16°C.

Open flames, electric torches, smoking cigarettes, and e-cigarettes are not permitted.

Animals are not allowed on the tour.

The maximum depth reached during the tour is 101 meters below ground, where telecommunication signals are unavailable.

There are no toilets available underground.

Photography is allowed throughout the experience.

The tour takes place in a group assembled by the mine and may include other individual visitors.
