The guide David was very knowledgeable and made the tour interesting, he made the tour flow and gave us opportunities of seeing the museum at its finest and didnt rush us before seeing the section he ws tslking about. David also gave us time to ask questions if we wanted too. David gave us an insight and emotion of what the Jewish people and Krakow people wrnt through when the occupation of the Germans took them. It was also interesting to find out what Osker Shindler did to help the Jewish workers escape and how he supported them during and after with his wife. Also it was nice that the museum had original artifacts also to bring the story alive with David. It was also interesting to what tje Krakow and Polish people were doing and how hard it was for them during the occupation. I would definitely recommend this tour skd David as a guided tour person .

Like descending into another planet. The Wieliczka Salt Mine isn't a "mine" — it's a 700-year-old underground city carved entirely out of salt. You go down 800 steps and suddenly you're walking through grey salt tunnels, then a massive chapel where EVERYTHING - the chandeliers, the altar, the statues - is made of salt. The St. Kinga's Chapel literally took my breath away. It's cold (17°C year-round), it's deep (135m underground), and it's surreal. The acoustics, the underground lakes, the air that tastes salty... you feel the weight of centuries of miners who created this. Tip: Book the first morning tour. No crowds, and the light inside the chapel is magical. A must-do in Krakow. 10/10.

I recommend this tour without hesitation; you go down to a depth of 135 m. And you see how men and animals worked to extract the salt. You'll be amazed by its history, its vast tunnels, its chapels, its lakes... For French speakers, I recommend the guide Marek Czyzowsk (Marc), a fantastic guide who will explain the history and wonders of this mine with a touch of humor to make it an enjoyable visit. There was a lot of information to take on board so we're very pleased to have had a guided tour. This way felt more manageable to take in the information. However, due to the size of the group, and number of groups going around at one time, there wasn't much time to stop and reflect on what we had been told, or to properly look at photographs or items as we headed off to the next part. All in all though, we felt we got great value from our guide and we would recommend. The booking process and communication was simple and easy too. Thank you.

Genuinely interesting tour at such an iconic location. Joining up with the tour was easy and efficient. We had Thomas as a guide and he was both passionate and informative. He spoke in great detail about the occupation of Krakow and used stories from his own family that really bought the story to life. Most of the tour is about the occupation with the last 15 minutes about Schindler and the role he played. Easily the best tour guide we had during our stay in krakow and highly recommended.

The many parallel tours are extremely tightly scheduled. To put it a bit dramatically: You are 'herded through'. The museum visit afterwards was extreme. Literally in a forced military march, we rushed through all the museum rooms and halls in 20 minutes! We were given 5 minutes for the large St. Barbara Chamber. What a shame, because this unique and magnificent salt mine deserved far more APPRECIATION.

The tour was well-organized and ran smoothly despite the size of the group. Thanks to the audio guides with earpieces, the guide was easy to hear. Our guide spoke clearly and informatively, leading the group capably. You descend stairs to 64 m and later 110 m underground. Through the mine passages you go from room to room, each with its own theme. In total 2.5 kilometers, so quite active, but there is a lift to go back up. There was a lot of impressive things to see and everything was well-maintained: statues carved out of salt from different eras always tell a piece of history; elsewhere, original wooden machinery structures and tools form a backdrop for life-sized museum mannequins depicting miners' lives. An immense underground chapel, richly decorated with artistic salt rock carvings, is a highlight. Beautiful forms of salt crystallization can be admired in numerous places, as well as a few underground lakes. Light and sound effects are used here and there for an audiovisual experience.

Overall, it's a good tour. You walk a lot through the mines and they explain the history of the mine along the way. I'd say I'm only giving it 4 stars because the guide was hard to understand due to their accent (the tour was in English). But everything else was good overall; in my opinion, the temple is the biggest highlight of the tour.

Although the guide was great, the best part was the fantastic experience itself. Walking through the underground chambers, carvings and chapels of the Wieliczka Salt Mine was something special. The tour was well organised and easy to follow, and it made for a memorable day. I would happily recommend it.

Definitely very interesting, the guide was very good, however the exhibition consists of many photos and a few objects. The factory cannot be visited and the machinery is no longer there. Cramped spaces and groups that are too large. They could do better.

Bring along comfortable walking shoes as the route has around 800 stairs.

What's not allowed

Keep in mind electric torches and cigarettes are not allowed on this experience. Pack wisely!

Due to venue restrictions, pets cannot tag along for this experience.

This experience is not accessible by wheelchair. Some of the underground paths on the Tourist Route have been modified to accommodate individuals with limited mobility.

Your guide dogs are welcome at the venue.

In exceptional cases, some of the chambers of the Tourist Route might be excluded from the guided tour.
