The main entrance is situated at Fiskislóð 23-25, right in the heart of the Grandi harbor district. Look for the large blue whale signage above the doors. The entrance is fully wheelchair and stroller accessible, with step-free access, wide automatic doors, and a smooth pathway from the sidewalk and parking lot.
Regular hours: Open daily from 10am to 5pm.
Last entry: Final admission is at 4:15pm.
Special hours/closures: The museum is closed on December 25 (Christmas Day). Hours may be extended during peak summer months or for special events. Guided tours in English are offered daily at 11am and 3pm, included with admission.
