    Blenheim Palace

    Recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Blenheim Palace is the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill and the private residence of the Duke and Duchess of Marlborough. The estate showcases centuries of British history and architectural grandeur.

    Features:

    • State Rooms: View ornate furniture, Savonniere carpets, and the ‘Victories’ tapestries commemorating the Duke’s triumph at the Battle of Blenheim.

    • Churchill’s birth room: Step into the preserved room where Churchill was born in 1874, featuring period décor and family mementoes.

    • Formal Gardens: Wander through over 2,000 acres of parkland, including Water Terraces, the Italian Garden, and the tranquil Secret Garden, designed by Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown.

    • Butterfly House: Enter a tropical oasis with global butterfly species and zebra finches, newly renovated for enhanced accessibility.

    • Adventure Play: Let children explore bridges, slides, and water play zones in a dedicated adventure area, designed for all ages and abilities.

    Return to Victoria Train Station by approximately 7pm, having experienced the highlights of Oxfordshire’s most celebrated palace.

    What’s not allowed

    • Due to venue restrictions, your pets cannot tag along.

    • Large bags, suitcases, and oversized luggage are not allowed inside for security reasons.

    • Alcohol, drugs, and any form of intoxication are strictly prohibited on the premises.

    • Flash photography, tripods, and filming equipment are not allowed inside the Palace State Rooms.

    Accessibility

    • Not all areas of Blenheim Palace and its grounds are fully wheelchair accessible; some historic areas and gardens may have limited access.

    • Accessible restrooms are available on site.

    • Assistance is available from staff if required.

    Additional information

    • Guided Palace State Room tours are available daily at 1pm and 3pm, starting in the Great Hall, and are included with your ticket—no booking required.

    • Blenheim Palace is currently undergoing a Roof Restoration Project, which is expected to be completed sometime in 2026. This does not impact visiting the State Rooms.

    • All features, areas, talks, and exhibitions are subject to availability.

    • The tour departs at 9:30am from Evan Evans Tours, 258 Vauxhall Bridge Road, London, SW1V 1BS, and finishes at approximately 7pm at Victoria Train Station.

    • Meals and refreshments are not included; you may wish to bring your own or purchase on site.

    • Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
