The Vienna City Card was absolutely worth it! It helped us discover amazing places we probably wouldn’t have found otherwise, including an outstanding restaurant where we had one of the best meals of our trip. The discounts, convenience, and included public transport made exploring Vienna so much easier. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the city!

My wife and I purchased our Vienna transport tickets through Headout. A significant delay with the tickets being issued meant I had to buy a regular ticket to get our first journey from the Central Station to our accommodation. That was disappointing. Headout acknowledged the error and escalated the problem. I'm not sure what else they could have done but there was no tendency to compensate, only to apologise. We did get a discounted entry (both saved €1 when we visited the The Kunsthistorisches Museum.

From A to B in the blink of an eye, short distances, minimal wait times, and friendly people! Visited all the museums—one gem after another. A city of cultures par excellence. Wonderful! Unfortunately, everything is very expensive and hardly affordable for someone with an average income. The discounts for retirees are “ridiculous.” In Japan, museums are free for retirees!

The Vienna City Card (VCC) offers a "3-day" discount voucher with a "7-day" transit pass. Koreans, please don't be shy—make sure to ask if the VCC is accepted. It's also valid at shops like Hamtil & Söhne. I went to a shop right below the Opera House—they had lots of cute items, and I even got a 20% discount. (As of June 2026; though I heard things might change starting in July.) Not only that, but various admission tickets are also discounted by 10–20%, so be sure to ask. Of course, there’s also the Vienna Pass, which is a step up from this, but if you’re not planning to visit every single tourist spot with plenty of time to spare like we did, this is a great option.

We really enjoyed our stay in the beautiful city of Vienna. The hop-on, hop-off city tours were very informative. The guided tours of Schönbrunn Palace and St. Stephen’s Cathedral were also very interesting. And for our grandchildren, the Prater was of course the highlight, along with the horse-drawn carriage ride through the Old Town. We’ll definitely be back!!
