Having the City Card allowed us to travel freely throughout Vienna, boarding any form of transport without any stress. It was a really good choice. What's more, there are lots of public transport options and they are punctual, so they are really efficient. The same card can also be used for transportation from the airport to the city center (with a small surcharge of €2.20 to be purchased at the station), making for a very comfortable yet economical trip.

The Vienna City Card was very easy to use. You can hop on a tram, bus, or subway anywhere. It’s ideal given the long distances in Vienna. It’s definitely handy if you’re staying in Vienna for several days because the distances are quite long, and it’s also a bit of a relief after a long day when you can take the subway back to your apartment and get home quickly. I found activating it a bit tricky, but after sending an email, I received help quickly.

The discounted admission prices for many must-see attractions are also great and offer real savings. The light show in the Votivkirche was a special experience. It was colorful and powerful, and perfectly matched the architecture.
