Having the City Card allowed us to travel freely throughout Vienna, boarding any form of transport without any stress. It was a really good choice. What's more, there are lots of public transport options and they are punctual, so they are really efficient. The same card can also be used for transportation from the airport to the city center (with a small surcharge of €2.20 to be purchased at the station), making for a very comfortable yet economical trip.

We booked the Vienna City Card for 7 days. The local transport system is great. You can get anywhere, the frequency is very high until late in the evening, and there's no stress with delays. The discounted admission prices for many must-see attractions are also great and offer real savings. The light show in the Votivkirche was a special experience. It was colorful and powerful, and perfectly matched the architecture.
