All I can say is: GOOD AND AFFORDABLE. Everything went smoothly, from buying the ticket online to traveling by bus and vaporetto. The service is excellent. The vaporettos and buses run on time. I stayed in Marghera for the weekend and had done some research beforehand on what to see and how to get around. I bought a 48-hour ticket online for €35.00, which was very convenient for traveling by vaporetto and buses on the mainland. It’s a very charming city, truly full of places to visit. I was particularly struck by Lido for its cleanliness and the scent of linden trees that filled the air as I strolled through the streets. Don’t miss the traditional cicchetti found along the Fondamenta della Misericordia in the Cannaregio area. A must-see stop is Burano for its colorful houses and lace. There’s a lot of walking involved, so I definitely recommend comfortable shoes!

From the parking lot, it’s a 2-minute ride on the rapid transit train to the city center; we took trips to the islands of Murano and Burano and also cruised through the canals. Everything included in the price. Everything looks completely different from the water. And it’s a nice little break… plus you can see so much more than you would on foot… at each stop, there’s a staff member who’s happy to provide information… Value for money: 5 stars

Excellent. Buying a 7-day pass saved me a lot of money, since single-day tickets are very expensive and the ticket counters are extremely crowded. In fact, in addition to saving money, you also save a significant amount of travel time, since you can board departing vaporetti directly without having to wait in line to buy tickets.

LAST YEAR, EVERY TIME I HAD TO GET AROUND, I HAD TO PAY; THIS YEAR I DECIDED TO GET THE UNIFIED TICKET, AND IT’S SO CONVENIENT—I RECOMMEND IT TO EVERYONE. I WAS GETTING AROUND BY BIKE, AND FOR EVERY SHORT TRIP I HAD TO PAY €1.50 for a round trip. Basically, one day I paid €9.00 for using three Vapo services. I’m asking: can’t this be consolidated into a single ticket?

The rides themselves were just okay, as far as water buses go. The staff on the water buses could at least be a little friendlier. The fact that when you book a ticket online, you still have to have it printed out at the Vapitetto counter is quite a hassle. So much for booking online and not having to wait in line.
