- Sleeveless tops, miniskirts, shorts, and hats are prohibited. Head, knees, and shoulders must be covered for all visitors. Comfortable shoes are recommended. Carrying a shawl or scarf for head covering is advised.
- External guides are not allowed.

- Entry must be at the scheduled time; latecomers will not be admitted.
- Security checks are conducted at the entrance.
- Audio guides are available for rent inside the Museums.
- Tour assistants provide access until ticket delivery at the entrance; the guided service ends there.
- Visitors must follow hosting instructions inside the Museums; failure to comply may result in ticket cancellation.
- During religious events or Jubilee Year, some areas, including St. Peter’s Basilica, may be closed without prior notice.
- The Sistine Chapel will close early on January 3 (2 pm), January 9 (2 pm), and January 10 (1 pm) 2026; last entries are one hour earlier.
- The Vatican Museums may close sections unexpectedly; closures do not entitle refunds.
- Michelangelo’s Last Judgement will be under maintenance until March 2026; the chapel remains open but views may be partially blocked by scaffolding.
