Skip-the-Line tickets made our visit an amazing experience because we didn't have to wait in queue in the sun and could just enter right away. The stuff at the meeting point was very helpful and explained everything to us, so we didn't have to worry about anything. We walked around every part of the museum. The little plaques with the information were very helpful. We loved the busts of Roman emperors. The museum with the maps was fabulous and the ceiling was astounding. Thankful for the small chairs and benches that provided a place to rest and to sit and see every little detail of the paintings and masterpieces.

Sleeveless tops, miniskirts, shorts, and hats are prohibited. Head, knees, and shoulders must be covered for all visitors. Comfortable shoes are recommended. Carrying a shawl or scarf for head covering is advised.

External guides are not allowed.

Entry must be at the scheduled time; latecomers will not be admitted.

Security checks are conducted at the entrance.

Audio guides are available for rent inside the Museums.

Tour assistants provide access until ticket delivery at the entrance; the guided service ends there.

Visitors must follow hosting instructions inside the Museums; failure to comply may result in ticket cancellation.

During religious events or Jubilee Year, some areas, including St. Peter’s Basilica, may be closed without prior notice.

The Sistine Chapel will close early on January 3 (2 pm), January 9 (2 pm), and January 10 (1 pm) 2026; last entries are one hour earlier.

The Vatican Museums may close sections unexpectedly; closures do not entitle refunds.

Michelangelo’s Last Judgement will be under maintenance until March 2026; the chapel remains open but views may be partially blocked by scaffolding.
