At 8:00 AM, we walked along the Thames from the Harriott Hotel by the London Eye (which we booked this morning through this app) to the Tower, arriving right on time at 8:45 AM. We still had to wait about 45 minutes until entry, but that is normal and wasn't an issue at all in the sunny weather! Following the advice we’d received, we headed straight over to the Crown Jewels exhibition. That collection is truly impressive! The other areas are all interestingly designed as well. The entire castle and all its sections are in very good, well-maintained, and restored condition. You’d never believe that the Tower has several hundred years under its belt! The guards are all very friendly, but also take their duty very seriously! They are happy to let you take photos, but putting an arm around their shoulder—which one female tourist tried to do—was politely declined! The restrooms are also in very good condition. As a German, it's nice to see that some signs also provide information in German! However, exploring some of the areas does require good physical fitness. In the White Tower, you first walk through all 3 floors twice along the length and twice across the width before winding your way back down inside one of the turrets! The minimum 3 hours you should plan to see most areas fly by very quickly! If, like us, you also opt for Tower Bridge admission with a slightly cheaper combo ticket, take the stairs instead of the elevator (which we only noticed once we reached the top), and then walk all the way back to the hotel, you are guaranteed some serious muscle soreness the next day if you're an out-of-shape tourist! The meticulously maintained Engine Rooms of Tower Bridge are also very interesting. The steam engine looks so pristine that you’d think it was just built! Though back when it was still coal-fired, it probably looked a bit dustier! The rich green with contrasting pin-striping painted on all the moving parts shows that true craftsmen who loved their trade were at work here! All in all, a fantastic combo trip that is well worth doing twice in a lifetime! It’s a pity, though, that no guided tours are offered in German, but you rarely find those at British attractions anyway...

Tower of London and Bridge tickets were fantastic! The Criwn Jewels display with impressive. The self-guided tour was our style and there were also lots of posted information in addition to the video. The bridge was my daughter's favorite. The views from the bridge were amazing and the glass floor section was a fun surprise. Definitely a great experience.

Everything was very convenient, and the combo offered great savings. There was a bit of a line for the Tower of London, but it moved very smoothly. The wait to get in was about ten minutes. I really enjoyed our trip to London, and Headout made it much easier to plan and book tickets for the different attractions. Being around the history and hearing the stories was a highlight! I recommend taking the tour for an educational and memorable experience. The river tour was on an all electric boat which made it enjoyable while reducing the impact on the environment. For first time visitors, it is a great and easy way to see London's main tourist sites easily to determine what you would like to go back and see again. The Headout app really made things easy. The Crown Jewels are a working collection and as a consequence, the display is subject to change without prior notice due to security reasons.

You can arrive within 30 mins of your ticket time (e.g., between 10am–10:29am). We are unable to guarantee entry before or after your time slot.

Your ticket is valid for one entry only. No re-entry is permitted.

Official Tower of London River Tour

Please arrive at Tower Bridge Quay at least 15 minutes before your scheduled tour.

The cruise is operated aboard the Silver Raven, the UK’s first electric tour boat. However, the Silver Raven may need to undergo scheduled or emergency maintenance and repairs, during which your tour will be operated aboard another vessel from the Silver Fleet, the Silver Sockeye. Note that the Silver Sockeye does not offer full wheelchair accessibility (including access to the main saloon and facilities).

The tour will run in all conditions, as long as it is safe to do so. The boat has covered seats, both inside and outside, which are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
