Combo (Save 10%): The View from The Shard + Tower of London Tickets

At 8:00 AM, we walked along the Thames from the Harriott Hotel by the London Eye (which we booked this morning through this app) to the Tower, arriving right on time at 8:45 AM. We still had to wait about 45 minutes until entry, but that is normal and wasn't an issue at all in the sunny weather! Following the advice we’d received, we headed straight over to the Crown Jewels exhibition. That collection is truly impressive! The other areas are all interestingly designed as well. The entire castle and all its sections are in very good, well-maintained, and restored condition. You’d never believe that the Tower has several hundred years under its belt! The guards are all very friendly, but also take their duty very seriously! They are happy to let you take photos, but putting an arm around their shoulder—which one female tourist tried to do—was politely declined! The restrooms are also in very good condition. As a German, it's nice to see that some signs also provide information in German! However, exploring some of the areas does require good physical fitness. In the White Tower, you first walk through all 3 floors twice along the length and twice across the width before winding your way back down inside one of the turrets! The minimum 3 hours you should plan to see most areas fly by very quickly! If, like us, you also opt for Tower Bridge admission with a slightly cheaper combo ticket, take the stairs instead of the elevator (which we only noticed once we reached the top), and then walk all the way back to the hotel, you are guaranteed some serious muscle soreness the next day if you're an out-of-shape tourist! The meticulously maintained Engine Rooms of Tower Bridge are also very interesting. The steam engine looks so pristine that you’d think it was just built! Though back when it was still coal-fired, it probably looked a bit dustier! The rich green with contrasting pin-striping painted on all the moving parts shows that true craftsmen who loved their trade were at work here! All in all, a fantastic combo trip that is well worth doing twice in a lifetime! It’s a pity, though, that no guided tours are offered in German, but you rarely find those at British attractions anyway...

My experience buying tickets for The View from The Shard through the Headout app was incredible from start to finish. It is an activity I fully recommend, whether you are visiting London for the first time or want to discover the city from a different perspective. Everything was very well organized and the experience exceeded our expectations. I would definitely use Headout again to book other activities and attractions during my travels. The convenience, ease of purchase, and peace of mind it offers make it well worth it. A 10/10 experience, completely recommended, and something I would do again without hesitation.

Tower of London and Bridge tickets were fantastic! The Criwn Jewels display with impressive. The self-guided tour was our style and there were also lots of posted information in addition to the video. The bridge was my daughter's favorite. The views from the bridge were amazing and the glass floor section was a fun surprise. Definitely a great experience.

Visiting the Shard viewing platforms was an overwhelming experience. Especially because we had such beautiful clear day and you could see for miles. And being able to use Apple/Google Maps to help identify all of the famous landmarks and buildings was absolutely brilliant. 100% highly recommend that you put this on your must do list when visiting London.

This was very special for us as a family because:1. Our teenager was tired of all historical locations we dragged him through, but he loves modern and tall buildings. 2. The view was absolutely stunning and we could look and talk about the different parts of London. 3. We all got a break from the busy streets with something nice in our glasses.

All the staff were super friendly. The 1st elevator took us to the 33rd floor, and the 2nd to the 69th floor. Then you could take the stairs up 2 more floors to the observation deck. The view is truly spectacular; we were there at 7:00 PM, and London in the dark is truly worth seeing.
