It is a full day visit, with so much to do and see. Absolutely, the highlight of our mini break. Make sure you go on the free Beefeater tour. The Scottish guy was funny and entertaining, and he really knew his stuff.

The Tower of London is truly fascinating, very well maintained, and easy to access. There are a lot of stairs, but the views of the Thames and the bridge are absolutely stunning. The rooms inside the Tower are well-kept, and the tour is straightforward.

Unfortunately, the groups for the guided tours are too large; I could only catch half of what was being said. So I had to buy an audio guide as well and ended up missing out on the entertaining commentary. Be sure to allow plenty of time—there’s a lot to see.
