Our friends who visited Venice 2 years ago recommended us to use the transport from the port of Punta Subbiony. Parking at the port was without problems. We bought tickets for 1 day, for the Vaporetto ACTV Water Bus. It was a great choice. Discovering the beauty of Venice was much more interesting. When we were tired of walking, we went on a boat and sailed along the Main Canal. We also visited Murano island. I think the price of €25 per person for 1 day is excellent. Next time, however, we will definitely stay here for at least 2 nights. In other words, you can only taste Venice in 1 day.

After some initial difficulties understanding the timetables, everything worked very well. Boats came at regular intervals. It is possible to reach the whole city easily by public transport. Sufficient time should be allowed for the trips, as the boat is not as fast as a bus. There are a lot of passengers at the hotspots, so it can happen that you don't get a lift and have to wait for the next boat

After booking online, all we had to do was enter a code at a terminal outside the station to collect our passes. We then used them very often, in the city, sometimes to go from one side of the Grand Canal to the other, to go to Murano, to the Lido, and even to take a bus back from the beach at the Lido. However, the 7-day pass is a bit fragile. It could be laminated. Or we could buy a (cheap) protection.

Carefree use of the water bus all day long without having to buy tickets all the time. It's a very convenient way to explore the city. The ticket worked perfectly at every station. The first time we received the tickets via the code at the machine also went smoothly

We loved being able to jump on and off the vaporetto system. Highlights were our use on Line 1 on the Grand Canal and trips out to Murano andd Burano.

You can just get in and "ship" off without thinking twice. Unfortunately, the vaporettos were on strike when we arrived, so we had to walk everything with our suitcases 😬.

The ticket could be booked online in advance. Picking it up at the designated machine with the assigned code worked well. The tickets always worked reliably. The individual lines have a good frequency and are very reliable.
