Visit Park Guell, Antoni Gaudi’s flamboyant creation and one of the most visited attractions in Barcelona without hassle while saving both time and money! Situated on Carmel Hill, the park provides incredible views of Barcelona. With these skip the line tickets to Park Guell, you will be able to access the Monumental Zone of the park without having to queue up in the ticket line, which can be quite long and don't always guarantee tickets, which sell out quickly on site due to limited capacity in each time slot for entry.

Why You Shouldn't Miss This

Park Guell is one of the most prominent attractions in Barcelona. Situated on Carmel Hill, Park Guell was designed by the great Catalan architect Antoni Gaudi and was originally envisioned as a housing estate for the rich by Eusebi Guell. However, this plan did not materialize and instead, the project was converted into an urban park. Constructed between 1900 and 1914, the park was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984. Today, the park is one of the most visited attractions in the city of Barcelona and draws crowds in their thousands every day.

The park is a testament to Gaudi’s approach of designing structural elements that replicate the curves, colours and intricacies found throughout nature. Even before you walk in, Gaudi’s design will jump up and catch your eye as you walk past the heavily ornate iron gates. Once you walk in, you will be surrounded by constructions that are almost outlandish in nature. The usage of flowing lines and bright colours lie in perfect harmony to the surrounding natural landscape of Mediterranean tree-covered hills. No visit to Barcelona would be complete without visiting Park Guell.

Your Experience

Our skip the line Park Guell tickets provide you with priority access to this iconic park. Once you book your tickets, you will receive them via email which you can then display on your phone to gain priority access to the Monumental Zone of the park, the zone that is occupied by Gaudi’s stunning works.

Once you are inside the park, you will be surrounded by Gaudi’s creation on all sides. The first building you see will be the erstwhile porter’s lodge which now serves as part of the Barcelona History Museum. The staircase that leads one from the entrance to the main area is probably the most famous aspect of the park. It is flanked by sculptures on all sides, the most famous among them being the dragon. This staircase leads to the Hypostyle Room, a space supported by 86 Doric columns. This was destined to be the marketplace for the original housing estate. Today, the Hypostyle Room supports the Greek Theatre on its roof.

The Greek Theatre is surrounded by curved benches on one side and large columns that resemble palm trees on the other side. The bench, similar to the Porter’s Lodge and the dragon staircase is covered in broken tile shards, a Catalan decorative style known as "trencadis". From the Greek Theatre, you will be able to soak in panoramic views of Barcelona, and the Sagrada Familia in the distance. Other prominent features of the park that you will be able to visit are the Laundry Room Portico, the Austria Gardens and the Viaducts.

Zones and Restrictions:
The Park is divided into the Monumental Zone and the Free Zone. The Free Zone is more like a garden while all the recognizable and famous portions of Park Guell are located in the Monumental Zone, which includes lots of uphill climbs and stairs so comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Access to the Monumental Core is regulated in order to renovate and preserve this portion of the Park.

Getting There:
There are three entrances that allow you to enter Park Guell and they are located at Sant Josep de la Muntanya (which you access by going up an escalator and even then it's pretty steep), Carrer de Larrard (the main entrance) and Carretera del Carmel, nº 23 (where the parking lot for coaches is located). Each of the three entrances has a route that will take you through all the main sights of the park.

However, if you wish to avoid a lot of climbing and stairs, take public transport (Bus #24) or a taxi to get to the entrance at Carretera del Carmel, which will be a mere 100 meters from the bus stop and the entrance to the Monumental zone is just 100 meters inside the park from the gates. This 200-meter walk is mostly flat. You can see the important areas of the free zone before you enter the Monumental Zone and once you've had your fill of the Monumental zone as well, you can use the main gate to exit, once again avoiding an uphill climb and head towards Gracia, a short walk from the main gate. The main entrance gate is located at the junction of Carrer de Larrard and Carrer d’Olot.

Bus - Lines H6, 32, 24 and 92. Get down at Carretera Carmel-Park Güell stop.
Metro - Green line (L3), Vallcarca or Lesseps stations. Park Güell is a 15-minute walk from both these stops.

Apart from the great Sagrada Familia, Park Guell is the next best thing in Barcelona! It's a must-visit at least once, and the view is stunning from the theatre
