I loved the view and the museum. I wish the museum was more explanatory about the context in which the Arc was built. I LOVED the detailed explanations of the figures on the exterior friezes.A

Booked quickly and skip the line tickets are a must in high season. Catacombs definitely book in advance, completely sold out when we arrived. Fortunately we were able to walk right through and is a cool experience.Ana

The queue at the ticket office was enormous. Instead, I bought my ticket online and waited in line to pass through security to access the monument. Fast, practical and efficient. I highly recommend it. The view from the top of the Arc de Triomphe is for me one of the best in the city.Faivre

Tickets purchased in advance, which saves time (reliable site). No set times, which means you can adapt to your children's needs (very practical). Very good, to be recommended!
These tickets are valid until 8 Apr, 2028.
Where to start?
Head to the Arc de Triomphe entrance, located at the center of Place Charles de Gaulle, one of Paris' busiest roundabouts. Since there is no crosswalk here, you'll have to take the underground stairs from the Champs-Élysées or Rue de la Grande-Armée to reach the arch.
Skip the long ticketing line with your online tickets, pass through the security check, and enter the arch.
Discover the arch
Start your climb (or take the elevator) to the mezzanine level which houses the museum with interactive exhibits showcasing the history of the monument. Don't forget to pick up a free copy of the information booklet, available in 11 languages. Once done, continue your climb to access the rooftop for panoramic views of Paris.
The rooftop
The digital devices installed here will give you a detailed history of every monument before your eyes.
Steps climbed: 242 to the mezzanine level; also accessible by elevator and 42 steps to the rooftop; with no elevator access.
End here
Climb back down and spend some time exploring the base of the triumphal arch, which is of great architectural interest with inscriptions of the names of martyred generals and sculptures depicting important French events. Pay your respects at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, easily identifiable by the eternal flame that has been burning since 1923.
