We wanted to do the Acropolis Museum before doing the Acropolis the next day. A good move. We learned a lot about the Acropolis and Parthenon before we took a tour to the top of the hill. Easy to use electronic tickets. Able to skip the line to purchase tickets and go right up to the entrance. Loved the Lego Acropolis and took pictures to show to grandchildren who really like Lego. Here is the battle between Athena and Poseidon over who would be protector of the city.

loved the museum but since we were traveling and bought our tickets on the train ride from our cruise ship we never saw that the audio guide needed to use our own headphones so we didn't get to hear the audios. Also the app did not show the playlist for us to hear it low on the phone. We had to go to the website in order to hear a few of them. we gave up and just read the signs along the way.

It was good to know that we already had tickets but it turns out that I could have saved a lot by booking at the time ket office for my daughter who is 12. The audio tour was interesting but you have to switch it on before you arrive to get the best of it. Definitely worth booking the 8am slot as it was much less crowded than later when all the tours arrived.

The ability to pause the audio guide and take our time looking at the many artifacts not mentioned in the guide. The history on the museum labels taking us back in time and finding under the museum the excavation revealing a structure the had survive for almost a millenium. Do we build today for our structures to be serviceable for 1000 years?

The museum holds all its f the original artifacts from the Acropolis. We visited before our visit to the Parthenon and are glad that we did it that way.Everything made more sense once on site.One thing that could be improved are the explanations on the audio guide. Exhibits are not in order and it is difficult to follow.
