There are lots of exciting things to discover in the Tower, you could easily spend a whole day there. The crown jewels are a great highlight, it's best to save them for the end to avoid school classes and the like. The souvenir stores and kiosks are also very good. There are also numerous toilets throughout the site, so you rarely have to queue. The staff are very friendly & courteous/helpful. I would only advise against the audio guide, as the £5 for this quality is hardly worth it. My personal highlight was the ravens.

This place is truly fantastic—beautiful, spacious, and with plenty of climbing for those ready to explore. The architecture and atmosphere are breathtaking. The only downside is the Crown Jewel display: it’s stunning to see in person, but photography is not allowed, which is disappointing for visitors who want to share the experience with family and friends on social media. Even so, the history here is rich and fascinating, and the overall experience is so impressive that I would gladly return again.

STUPID medieval castle experience! So many rooms and towers to visit, it really is a dive into medieval history, with everything very well preserved. The jewelry room is poorly (vilely poorly) lit, lacking basic descriptions (belonged to, used a on occasion of, stolen the etc.) it is a display of jewelry as any jewelry storefront could be. They are clearly beautiful (the newer ones), but they look much better on TV.

Better than the Buckingham Palace tour. It helps if you watched "Victoria" on PBS. Great self paced audio tour of the palace and gardens. Make sure you go to the sunken gardens by the cafe and see the Princess Diana statue.

  • Tower of London

Visit the primary seat and center of the British Monarchy. As the primary residence of royalty and setting for key events in the early history of Europe, a tour of the Tower of London is an experience filled with wonder and even a little horror. Explore the castle grounds independently for however long you wish until closing time. Experience all the parts of the castle including the White Tower, the first part of the Castle built by William the Conqueror, which displays the Royal Armouries’ collection today.

Finally, the tour also includes the opportunity to see the Crown Jewels, a display of the wealth and splendor of the British Crown. Apart from these experiences, see live historical re-enactments and other exhibitions like 'Coins & Kings' and 'Line of Kings'.

    Hampton Court Palace

Explore the spell-binding Tudor Palace, initially developed by Cardinal Wolsey and later by Henry VIII, positioned next to a Baroque Palace constructed during the reign of William III and Mary III. When Henry VIII was nearing his demise in 1547, he owned over sixty houses, but he held the Hampton Court Palace close to this heart during the latter part of his reign.

Visit the King’s apartments in the role of one of his courtiers, donning a Tudor cloak and making your way to the enormous kitchens which was where banquets for over 1000 guests were prepared. A right turn past the wine cellar will get you to Chapel Royal, the former seat of the monarch and his companions (Royal Pew), and a still-active place of worship. You’ll also come across the ‘Young Henry’ as part of an exhibition that portrays his relationship with Katherine of Aragon, his first Queen.

Visit William III’s State Apartments comprised the Guard Chamber, the Presence Chamber, the Privy Chamber, and the Great Bedchamber. Additionally, see his Private Apartments where he resided, for the most part, giving you an idea of his splendid taste in art. The views of the gardens from the apartments are simply outstanding. Get to explore the 60-acre beautiful garden and a spooky Haunted Gallery.

    Kensington Palace

London’s Kensington Palace is a royal residence with stories, secrets, and history attached to it. You’ll require around an hour and a half to get a good look at the spectacular palace apartments and explore the ‘Victoria Revealed’ exhibition (Victoria: A Royal Childhood only), displaying an array of Queen Victoria’s objects where she once resided.

Discover the magnificently-done state apartments that reveal the lifestyle of its resident royals, including the likes of MaryII, William III, Queen Anne, and her son William, the last ruling member of the Stuart dynasty. Gaze at the masterpieces of architect and painter William Kent as you enter the Cupola Room and climb the King’s Grand Staircase.

Visit various other chambers such as The Presence Chamber, The Privy Chamber, The King’s Drawing Room, and the King’s Gallery where you can learn more about royal British living. Check out exuberant examples of what the royals wore during their rule in the 18th century and be amused by breathtaking artworks from the Royal Collection while there. Lastly, wander about in the Formal gardens, a former royal playground, and check out the exotic Victorian plant collections.
