CoupleVerified booking3 weeks ago4/5We loved the whole experience, the day was great so full of information all day long. Seeing the camps for the first time was breathtaking just seeing and hearing everything that had gone on. Walking in to the buildings and seeing all the pictures on the walls and the total approximate number of dead was unbelievable. Our tour guide (Samuel i think his name was) for both camps was very informative and took his time to give us the information we needed and went at a steady pace so we didn't feel rushed. This is an experience that I think everyone needs to come and do once in their lifetime. Yes its sad to hear and see but the experience is needed. The salt mines was incredible, loads of information, loads of steps to walk down lol and once your down into the mines and you can see the grand scale of everything down there....WOW. carvings made from rock salt, there are even chapels that are still usable but the best experience by far was standing on the balcony looking down into Kinga's chapel (which is still a functioning chapel and you can even get married in the salt mines). Our tour guide (isabella) was great, funny and so informative. But the day couldn't have been possible if it wasn't for our great driver (Michal) he picked us up on time, told us everything that was planned for the day and rough time frames for everything. Introduced us to our tour guides at both sites and was waiting exactly where he said he would be and even pinged his location to meet him after coming out of the mines (as there were 2 locations to come out from). Overall this was an amazing day trip and glad we have done it and would definitely do the salt mines again.DDallaine M
CoupleVerified bookingLast week5/5The guided tour of the camps was perfect! The guide was deeply committed and really managed to convey both the key information and the emotional weight of the place. It was truly very educational. The salt mines tour was also great. An awesome day overall, not as tiring as we might have thought. In my opinion, the only small area for improvement is how breaks and timing are managed. I would have liked more than 10 minutes at lunchtime to eat and go to the bathroom, and to get a clearer rundown of the schedule at the start of the day (like where we're going and what times, for example). I would have happily arrived 15 minutes earlier to get a slightly longer lunch break! But other than that, 10/10, highly recommend!CCecile B
CoupleVerified booking6 days ago4/5The guides did an excellent job with the explanations, but the tours felt rushed and very impersonal. There was barely enough time to use the restroom. After each visit, participants had to figure out how to find the bus on their own. Instructions were given quickly before getting off the bus, making it impossible to ask for clarifications afterward since the guide didn’t wait in front of the bus. For example, the guide said to meet at the benches "that you see over there," but we were at the back of the bus and couldn't see a thing.BBors R

Getting started
Begin your day in Krakow, where you will either be picked up from your hotel or join the group at a designated meeting point, depending on the option selected. Board your air-conditioned bus or private vehicle for the first journey out of the city.

Wieliczka Salt Mine

-
View detailed salt sculptures, chapels, and other carved features that illustrate the region’s mining traditions and craftsmanship.

Wrapping up
