For transparency of service and management. Entrance to Auschwitz at the moment is limited (the reason is unknown to us) and therefore to ensure our entry, the agency organized the trip at 1.35 am. .... we waited about 7 hours but we ensured our visit . After talking to other French people, several of them were "misled" by agencies and were unable to visit. This explains my comment: a transparent, responsible agency that was able to guarantee us service even though the conditions were more than unusual. Room for improvement: blankets, coffee and better organization for the compulsory wait to guarantee entry.

The small bus picked us up at the scheduled time. The 1.5 hour transfer was comfortable and our driver was a safe driver! Our guide on the bus provided information on the way to the two camps and guided us through the two concentration camps. He provided a lot of information about how the initial selection process occurred, their daily life of misery, torture, medical experimention, starvation, abuse and death from the conditions, gun executions, hanging, and the gas chambers were for Jewish men, women, and children. We also saw the furnaces in Auschwitz were so many victims were cremated in a vain attempt to hide their crimes. It was a somber, heart wrenching day that I will never forget.

The visit to the memorial was extremely informative. The organization of the journey was chaotic. The transfer to the memorial had been postponed from 9:00 a.m. pick-up to 12:50 p.m., then the bus didn't show up either, and we were then taken to Auschwitz in a replacement bus. We arrived there at around 3 p.m. and were only able to visit main camp two after dark. This was a great pity. We were also surprised that the bus didn't take the highway to the memorial, but took almost 1.5 hours to get there. This could have been much shorter.

In this place needs no words, a place where you can breathe heavy air, and as the guide explains and shows the camp you realize the drama that thousands of innocent people have experienced, in my head one thought, how can a man do these things, of course there is no explanation, but today I wonder what have we not understood? Why do we continue to wage useless wars, why do we continue to kill each other? An answer will never be found, but from the bottom of my heart I always wish for a world at peace.

Everything went perfectly. There was a schedule change for the departure from Krakow, but we were informed the day before. As I knew it was coming, I hadn't planned anything else for the day. The bus was perfectly on time. The guide on the bus was perfect, and his explanations in English were easy to understand. When we arrived at the site, we met up with a French-speaking guide who took us through the history. Back to Krakow where we were picked up.

The most impressive view was the view of the gate from inside the gate of the Birkenau camp. The vast grounds were lined with brick furnaces where the bodies were burned, and I couldn't bear to think that Jewish prisoners were burning the bodies of their compatriots.
