We were captivated by the art of glassblowing; the shop selling Murano glass items had a wide selection. The various pieces of jewelry were beautifully crafted and in excellent taste—we simply had to buy them! The islands were truly charming and colorful—an unforgettable tour! My only comment: the guide on the boat was very knowledgeable and friendly, but she talked the entire time during the trip. Perhaps on the return trip, it would have been nice to be lulled by the rocking of the vaporetto and savor those final moments in absolute silence. Otherwise, everything was very positive. Thank you.

We boarded the boat at the station and enjoyed sailing along the Giudecca Canal to St. Mark’s. The stops at the three islands were wonderful, and the glassblowing demonstration was excellent. On the way back, we were able to get off at St. Mark’s Square and end the day with a stroll through the Venetian streets and squares back to the station.

It was really beautiful and interesting, and the timing was just right. Maybe (though it’s probably just because I didn’t know any better) a little sign would be helpful to show where to pick up the tickets. (The place is actually very close to the station, but we had a hard time finding it.) Thanks again for the wonderful day.

Of course, Murano—with its glassblowing demonstrations—and Burano—with its beautiful colors—were the highlights. As for Torcello, we were a little disappointed. We would have preferred more time to visit Murano and Burano, since just stepping into a few shops takes up time.
