The reception was excellent, and the tour of the area was good; however, it wasn't immediately clear where to find the various points described in the audio guide—in my opinion, there aren't enough landmarks. Overall, though, it was very good.

The Topkapi visit is great, mainly thanks to what the place has to offer from history. 2 things to mention, First the tickets are to be picked up not at the palace itself but in a restaurant nearby. Second the guide is mainly bringing you to the location, he does not explain any of the history you would rely on the audio guide through your phone.

It was easy to find the meeting place beforehand and we were then escorted into the palace by a really friendly chap. The palace is beautiful, and very large, so make sure you have plenty of time to enjoy it and soak it all in. We recommend the audio guide as it brings it all to life.

Dolmabahcec Palace was amazing! The audio guide was great. The dinner cruise was disappointing. Wait staff was fantastic! They worked so hard and did everything possible to make you feel taken care of. Unfortunately, the food was cold. The music was so LOUD it honestly hurt my ears. My husband and I had a table for two and had to text to each other just to converse. TV monitors on the ship should be used to display the stage show instead of displaying highlight of of show. Perhaps if the passengers could see the show easier, they would not be trying to stand up to see all the time. Although I know it upset some passengers, I did appreciate the staff asking people to sit down during the dance performances.

I’d give the palace 5 stars because it’s wonderful—a must-see. The “cruise” was a total disaster: we left half an hour late, the dinner was awful and terrible, the boat just circled around one bridge—no Hagia Sophia or Blue Mosque. The shows were going well until the belly dance started; I’ve been to bachelor parties where the strippers are more tasteful than these—a real embarrassment—and the finale with the saxophonist was enough to deafen us since the volume was so loud it was impossible to stay inside. So, if you end up on the boat called “Amor,” cancel it.

After buying tickets from you for Hagia Sophia and the Basilica Cistern, I assumed the procedure for Topkapi would be the same. So, after arriving at the palace entrance, we had to go to the meeting point, which is far away and involves a steep climb. The audio guide was a hassle; in theory, we were supposed to pick it up for free at the entrance, but our group was so large that it was impossible... I think that’s poor service! The palace is spectacular, but the ticket system didn’t work properly.

Delicious food and a great atmosphere. However, there are almost nonstop performances (folk dances, oriental dances, traditional dances) with extremely loud music, even while we’re eating. The volume is so high that you can’t have a conversation, and eventually you end up with a headache. What a shame! It would make sense to scale back the program and stick to just a few individual performances instead. It was all very overwhelming and, in the end, didn’t do anyone any good.
