The calm contrasts with the violence of the events recounted. The visit becomes almost introspective. Arriving at Napoleon's tomb is a powerful moment. The place commands deep respect. The grandeur of the site is immediately striking. You feel the weight of history. The light and space reinforce the emotion. It is a moment of pause and contemplation. Although we chose to go in December, and it was very cold, it was an awesome experience. Our guide spoke excellent English and was very pleasant. Highly recommend this experience.
