Paris for history geeks

Enjoyed a great view in wonderful weather. Access was a bit lengthy, a lot of standing around..... The explanations seemed professional, although unfortunately I only know a little English.

A tour for just the three of us, with a passionate guide for what was almost a private tour. A guide who was very generous with his time. He welcomed us before the scheduled time. Really great guide!

Juan, who guided us through the palace and was attentive to the entire group, was wonderful. His way of telling the history was very good.

This tour was both special & unexpected! We thought we were going to be taken straight into the house and gardens but no, we were taken round the village, to the church and told all about Monet's life, his family, how he bought the house and so on. The tour guide was funny and engaging and obviously took a great deal of pleasure in her tour groups. The only downside was by the time we got inside the gardens we were in need of coffee and a sit down. Our guide had indeed asked if we wanted to get a coffee but we didn't wish to stop the tour and had no idea if we were allowed to take drinks inside - we should've asked more questions! Many thanks to Marianne for a super tour (apologies if name is spelt wrongly) Unfortunately my husband could not get any reception on his phone but has agreed with all the above and would love to return. Well done - good job.

Everything was very simple and straightforward. We had no issues, and it was very easy to buy the tickets on the website. Definitely worth using again.

I was so excited about coming to the catacombs during my trip to Paris. It ended up being even better than i could've imagined. So many bones and so much history hidden below Paris.

SuperB girl guide, a lot of interesting information about the place, its history and the tournament, although visititing limited only to terrain outside tha main court, one outside court and of course Philippe Chatrier Court, visiting with the guide takes about 1,5h, after that shopping in Roland Garros oficial shop :)

Great shows, full of surprises. If you want to wacht them all, you need surely 2 days. Shows nr1 to nr 8 are the bigger ones you do not want to miss. Bring some food and drink along, enjoy them while waiting for the show, if you like me, want to wacht the most of them, you have really no time to eat and drink in the restaurants.
