Did the Rio Samba Bus city tour with my husband and teenage son. Honestly, I LOVED how chill it was! The music was just the right vibe—gotta say, I caught my son humming along at one point (shh, don’t tell him I noticed). Hop-on hop-off made it sooo easy to explore Copacabana at our own pace, and we didn’t have to stress about taxis. The bus was super clean and the staff were always smiling, even when things got busy. We got seats on the top deck for the morning ride—wind in my hair, sun on my face, couldn’t stop grinning. Only thing: bring sunscreen! I forgot mine and baked a bit. The audio guide had fun tidbits, not just boring facts. I learned about the mosaic steps in Lapa and now I need them for my kitchen! Would totally recommend for families, even if you’ve been to Rio before. The playlist is a banger, btw.

I dragged my best friend onto the Rio Samba Bus and honestly, we had so much fun! The music was non-stop, and every time we thought we’d seen the BEST view, the next stop would top it. Shout-out to the guide for helping us with directions (my Portuguese is, um, not great). We hopped off to get snacks in Lapa and nearly missed the bus—caught it just in time! Would ride again for sure.

Went solo on a rainy morning (oops), but the covered top deck saved me. The driver was a LEGEND, navigating traffic like a pro. Audio guide was clear in English. I hopped off at the botanical gardens and back on later, no problem. Only minus: the bar wasn’t open when I boarded, so no caipirinha for me. Still—worth the price!
  • A Glimpse into the Mind of the Elusive Artist

One of the most famous, yet “unknown” artists, Banksy is a master at creating through-provoking, contemporary pieces that attempt to present universal issues in matters of culture, politics, and ethics, often with a satirical angle. Some of his most notable works are in the form of graffiti and have completely changed many streets of London, New York City, Gaza, Berlin, and more. While many see his artworks as a sign of revolt, there is an equal number who are intrigued by them and think of his work as ingenious.
