I went with my girlfriend and we found the warm baths very relaxing and enjoyable. We made our way to the adventure pool area and noticed the round structure in the middle with many people creating a fast current as they walked through it. We decided to join it. However, at one point, my pinky toe hit one of the jets on the floor of the rounded structure while the current was moving rapidly. The force split my toe open with enough force that part of my toe was hanging off and I could feel that part hanging off and floating from the water. We had to leave immediately and spend the rest of the day looking for medical care. We loved the baths.

An amazing but surreal experience. It is December and the Baths are very busy, people from all over the world are there. But there is space it is calming and although the outside temperature is around 6 degrees the temperature of the waters is hot, beautiful and relaxing. We were there three hours and it flew by. There are baths both insides and outside. There are also steam rooms and saunas. Need to take flip flops and a towel while the changing rooms and lockers work well. Then we discovered the circular fast water which was great fun. The whole experience was memorable and one of the highlights of a fantastic trip to Budapest.

We really liked everything, starting from the location - it’s very convenient to reach the thermal baths by metro - and ending with the wide choice of pools and attractions. You can easily spend the whole day here: there are several saunas and both indoor and outdoor pools. We tried everything and were very satisfied. The showers and changing rooms are very clean, and there is no problem finding a free locker. The interior is very beautiful and has a vintage atmosphere. The biggest impression on us was made by the outdoor pools, where you can have a really fun time.

    Unfortunately, in the sauna area, even though I used those transparent lockers for storage, my towel was stolen, and I had to ask the staff for clarification about what had happened. I was disappointed that they took no responsibility whatsoever, even though there were video surveillance cameras. They smiled at me and somehow told me that it happens sometimes, probably by mistake. I give 3 stars for the location, because it seems somewhat neglected, with few improvements visible. Or perhaps they are intentionally preserving the atmosphere of traditional thermal baths?

    Széchenyi Spa tickets

    • Bring along your swimwear, flip-flops, and a swimming cap.

    • Please note that one of the 18 bath pools, the outdoor cold water swimming pool, is closed for spring maintenance until further notice.

    • Starting August 1, 2025, entry to the bath will no longer be permitted for anyone under the age of 14.
