St. Peter’s Basilica, Square, and Papal Tombs Guided Tour

Hi, we were staying in an apartment very close to the Pantheon in a little Piazza. St. Peter's was just a little in the distance and we would watch the sunset over the dome every night. After a great dinner at a little family cafe for our wedding anniversary,and a stop again at the Trevi fountain at 0130( almost nobody there at that time. Fantastic), I came back to search for St. Peter's basilica tickets and found your site and app. It was very easy to locate what I was looking for,and complete the transaction. We followed the directions to the meeting point. We were uncharacteristically early and arrived before the young man carrying your sign, soI became a little concerned. A short time later a pleasant young man arrived with the sign,and assured us we were in the right spot. Soon our guide, "Stefano" arrived. The earpiece radios were handed out,and he began his presentation. He gave us the history of where we were standing. We went to the security line and he continued with the history of St. Peter's square from before it was St. Peter's square, and gave insight into the entire area. The line moved relatively quickly. Stefano gave the history of all the statues and the doors into the basilica. Once inside he guided us through with descriptions and the history of everything we saw. Amazing. We had a great time. Stefano was very personable, open to questions,and would make eye contact when speaking. He used a tablet screen to show objects that were covered or hidden. He gave the history of "La Pieta", and background on Michelangelo,and his battle to become architect of the basilica as he was painting the Sistine Chapel.My educational background is in history and political science, so I can tell you that Stefano really knew his stuff and was very thorough. His English was perfect. We had studied Italian before we came but nowhere near enough to have a tour in Italian, although we did attend an Italian mass is a beautiful little church near our apartment. All in all were were very happy and satisfied. The price was very fair, and our guide was absolutely amazing. He'd do well as a university professor. Thanks again. I highly recommend Headout, and if you're going to St. Peter's basilica, be sure to try and get Stefano.

The tour of St Peter's Basilica and the papal tombs was brilliant. Our tour guide was so informative and it was really interesting. I would definitely love to do it all again.

The tour guide was superb, he made the experience magical educational and fun. The organisation was Terrible. As instructed we arrived 15 mins early at the location described and shown in a photograph. No one came even after the tour start time. I phoned and was told she will arrive. She did , 5 minutes after start time , and we were shown the gathering point , different side of large building. Now the guide took over and made everything ok. Your Administration skills and website updates are terrible. Well done our guide with umbrella and fedora hat... he is the usp of your company

The guide was lovely and knowledgeable which was good. The actual tour was great but being in the queue for roughly 1 hour was quite difficult for me as I am (not visibly) disabled so I did find it very tough to concentrate standing in the queue for so long.

Pick up location was not clear, there were other tour guides in same location, we got confused which one is ours & few people in our tour had different company name, but overall tour was nice.
