The tour and the information provided were very good. Lots of info.
However, interior repairs were underway and sometimes the noise was a bit too loud. Lots of history and details about the frescoes.
On the plus side, you gain a much better understanding of the schism between the Roman Catholic Church and the Church of Constantinople.
The interior lighting (for us around 11:00 AM) was limited. A tour better done later in the afternoon regarding the position of the sun??

Positive experience. The meeting time and schedule were respected. The guide (Chiara) was good and thorough. The only downside was the language of the tour, though that might have been my mistake. And there was no audio guide available, only the classic receiver headset.

Easy to find the group, the tour guide was lovely and engaged with the group well. The tour of the basilica was brief (20mins). We didn't go up to the second level for some reason and stayed on the main level only. Would have been nice if the guide allowed little pauses between areas to just take photographs as it can be hard to get good pictures while also listening and being respectful to the guide giving us information.
The second part of the ticket to the doges palace is self guided and was nice to do at our own pace. Don't skip the palace, it's stunning.
They have free audio guides available for download, download the app beforehand (MUVE app). They have lists on the app you can download so that you don't have to do it at the locations. Very handy.
