All 3 parks on Phillip Island, easily booked through Headout, provided diverse and interesting experiences. Churchill Island gave a historical perspective, while the Koala reserve informed us of endangered species. The Penguin Parade was the highlight, with the penguins arriving via a "penguin raft" to nest in their burrows for the night.

Churchill Island and the Koala Park were absolutely magnificent. The penguin parade was a disaster and not worth visiting anymore. Unruly visitors and a complete inability to control them made for a terrible time.

Absolutely incredible experience from start to finish! Booking through Headout was quick, easy and hassle free, with our tickets delivered instantly and able to just scan at the doors at all attractions. The Penguin Parade was truly unforgettable seeing so many of little penguins waddling ashore at sunset, such a magical and heartwarming experience for our whole family. The facilities were well organised, staff were friendly and everything ran smoothly. This is a must do when visiting Phillip Island we’ll definitely be recommending both the Penguin Parade and Headout to friends and family.

We loved our visit to all 3 places,Churchill Island was greats for kids to watch farm animals, Koala reserve had very few koalas 🐨 but it was lovely to see them in their own safe zone , and last but not the lease penguin 🐧 parade , winters was not the best seasson to watch it as we could hardly witness 4-5 baby penguins. I am not sure about summers thought but it was a well spent day with family. I would love to this again n again n again. 😍

Fantastic 3 park pass! Making trips with kids easier. Because we all need easy and organized. Just scan on arrival and no waiting in ticket lines . Penguins 🐧 is the only one you need to set a date for so make the other parks work into your busy schedules! Great for all ages we have a 12 year old and a 15month old .

The weather spoiled the evening. But once the Penguins started to come out it didn't matter how cold it was , it was nature at it best to see each penguin go to it's borough amazing instinct.

Waiting for the penguin to come at shore when the weather was crazy was worth it, looking at them and the sound huck they made felt unreal

What to bring

What's not allowed

Strictly no photography or video (with or without flash) is permitted after sunset during the Penguin Parade to protect the penguins.

All Phillip Island Nature Parks attractions are cashless—only contactless payments are accepted.

Smoking, pets, animals, and drones are not allowed on this experience.

Additional information

Visitors can bring assistance animals certified by a registered authority and must remain on designated paths and restrained by a harness or lead.

Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

For the Penguin Parade, penguins arrive at sunset each evening, with typical arrival times ranging from 8:30 to 9pm in summer (Dec–Feb), 7 to 8pm in autumn (Mar–May), 5:15 to 6pm in winter (Jun–Aug), and 6:30 to 8pm in spring (Sep–Nov).

All revenue supports conservation, research, and wildlife rescue at Phillip Island.

Please note: On Tuesday, July 29, 2025, both Churchill Island and the Koala Conservation Sanctuary will open 2 hours later than usual, at 12pm. If you’re planning a morning visit, be sure to adjust your itinerary.
